Let me ask you something right from the start…

What are you passing down?

Because whether we realize it or not…we’re all leaving something behind.

Values…habits…attitudes…faith…

This Sunday at Temple we’re going to look at 2 Timothy 1:5 and talk about “A Faith
Worth Passing Down.”

Not a perfect faith…but a real one.

A faith that is lived out every day…a faith that people can actually see…and a faith that keeps pointing people to Jesus long after we’re gone.

Some of you had that modeled for you growing up. Some of you didn’t.

But no matter where you’ve been or what your story looks like…It’s never too late to start building a legacy of faith.

Tonight Temple Baptist Church kicked off Summer Missions 2026.

During the months of May, June, and July, we spend our Wednesday nights from 6:00–7:00 serving our community through different mission projects.

Tonight we had the privilege of serving our city by washing police cars and fire department vehicles.

At Temple, we believe loving God and loving others is more than something you say… it’s something you live out. We don’t just talk about it—we want to show it through simple acts of service that point people to Jesus.

Good.

That’s exactly who God uses.

I always look forward to this group—just good food, good fellowship, and being together. There’s something special about slowing down and enjoying time with one another.

And when you begin to understand how much God loves you…
how He pursued you… how He gave His Son…
it changes everything.

Why Missions Matter

And here’s the truth—God came on a mission for you.
Maybe you’ve got questions…
maybe you’re skeptical…
maybe something just feels off in your life right now…

There’s a reason for that.
You were made for more.
You were made to know Him.

You don’t have to fix yourself first.
Just come as you are.

“Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here… He is risen.”

And listen—this isn’t just something we study…

• Your past doesn’t have to define you
• Death doesn’t win
• And your life can change
