This culture is ever changing at a rapid pace, Good has now become evil, and evil has now become good! This new style of religion is dangerous, it’s very appealing to the eye and be very deceptive! I’ve been there to a degree, I can not take credit for the views and options exspreased below, but I certainly agree with them... this year I’m going back to the basics! The Lord exposed the dangerous errors of my ways, I thought I was ok and doing well, but when tested through scripture turns out I didn’t pass. The Lord is merciful and long suffering and I praise him even more for long suffering. When you truly begin to know him scripture is no longer scripture but his voice spoken directly to our spirit, and his voice is all we want to hear....Amen....
“We must stop allowing inflated language to create a sense of destiny; words that are actually empty and only pull on emotions and produce false expectations. We must stop listening to the proclamations, declarations, and projections concerning some future event or new type of Christian.
New breed.
Emerging prophets.
Dread champions.
End-time army.
Arising heroes.
New apostolic generation.
Transfer of wealth.
Last days outpouring.
Glory revival.
These words are actually tools of manipulation creating an “addiction” to the ministry of the messenger.
“Oh – I don’t want to miss out. I better follow this ministry because they know; they have inside info; they have secret knowledge or are in a position to get it with their dreams and visions. They must be unique, sent for this time, specifically called to usher in others to this new level.”
Our eyes were never meant to be focused on a book, a ministry, a minister, conferences, or a movement.
It is always about something future. Something that will change the Church, something that will deliver from the present state or position; constant preparation for some great spiritual event as opposed to preparing for the return of the Lord.
Continuing to point to something future as to the answer to our present state (except the resurrection) is a form of neo-Gnosticism. The mind of man always wants to add something to Jesus Christ and the Cross, an extra step of spirituality or ascension into higher levels.
In time, as we sit back and look at the language used, we will see that it smacks of desperation and is a product of the soul. Not the Word, not the Holy Spirit, the soul.
If we are looking at the Foundation we will easily discern the manipulative language, and the “spiritual” structures that have been built and must be torn down.
Maybe we need to drill into those that we influence the enormous eternal weight of just being a saint ?”
