Rev. Dick White was our guest preacher this last Sunday. He shared stories about his own call to ministry and we were so happy to have him worship with us at St. Andrew’s. Next Sunday is communion Sunday, please make plans to come. It’s lonely here without you.

Each time we feel anxieties rise, we can take steps to ground ourselves and remember that God is with us, takes care of us, and can relieve us of our stress.

United Methodist speaker and author, Thomas Mayberry, wrestled with stress for decades. He committed to spiritual disciplines like searching the scriptures, service, and tapping into gratitude and found the practices greatly reduced his stress.

Now he wants everyone to share in this stress-reduced living.

Find spiritual practices that might work for you:

When anxieties rise, we can turn to spiritual practices that connect us to God, who is with us, takes care of us, and relieves us of stress.

Today during worship we prayed over the remaining goodie bags/taco dinner invites that are being handed out at Panola College this week. Our congregation will be in prayer for all students, their families and our education staff at all levels during this exciting time of “back to school”.
Our Panola College student taco dinner will be this Saturday August 22 at 6:00pm in our fellowship hall. Please come visit with these gifted and very smart college students and have a taco or three! 💚🐴💯🎉🌮

We are having a great time at Panola College welcoming students from all over to “move-in day”! 💚🐴🎉

As we begin a new season of ministry with the start of a new school year, we’re taking a moment to look back with gratitude for all God has done over the past year.

From worship and connection to celebration, learning and dreaming together, Annual Conference 2026 was a reminder of God’s goodness and the many ways the Spirit continues to move throughout the Texas Annual Conference.

Take a look back at some of those moments in our 2026 Annual Conference recap video.

By Your Spirit, we will thrive.

Strong partnerships help make whole-person care possible. Through collaboration with local food banks, schools, colleges, community organizations, healthcare providers, and local leaders, we’re able to connect our patients with valuable resources and support beyond the walls of our health centers.

We’re grateful for every partnership that helps us strengthen our communities and improve the health and well-being of those we serve.

Join us on Sundays during the month of August at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church for our new sermon series, "Stories of the Kingdom."

Together, we are reading Matthew 13 and exploring the powerful, timeless parables Jesus used to describe the beauty, value, and mystery of God’s work around us. Whether you are a lifelong churchgoer, haven't been in a while, or are simply curious about faith, you are completely welcome here.

Come as you are, connect with friendly neighbors or find a quiet spot and discover how these ancient stories still speak directly to our lives today.
