Day 1: Embracing the Journey: Scripture: Exodus 14:26-27
Today, we reflect on a pivotal moment in Israel’s journey. The people had been delivered from slavery, but they were still standing in the uncertainty of transition. Behind them was Egypt. Before them was a wilderness. They were free, but they were not yet settled. This is often where we find ourselves — in the **land between**. We are no longer where we used to be, but we have not fully arrived at where God is taking us. We have seen His hand of deliverance, but the future still feels unfamiliar. In Exodus 14:26-27, God tells Moses to stretch out his hand over the sea, and the waters return. What once looked like Israel’s obstacle became the place where God defeated what was chasing them. God was not only making a way forward; He was also closing the door behind them.
Embracing the journey means trusting God in the space between deliverance and destination. It means acknowledging where you are while believing that God is still leading you. The Israelites had to move forward without knowing every detail of the road ahead.
Take a moment today to ask yourself: **Where am I hesitating because I am afraid of the unknown?** Remember, God is charting your path. He is guiding you away from bo***ge and toward freedom.
Prayer
Lord, help me to trust You as I navigate the transitions in my life. Give me the courage to release fear, move forward in faith, and embrace the journey You have placed before me. Remind me that what You have delivered me from cannot control where You are taking me. Amen.
Reflection Thought
God is not only opening the way before me; He is closing what tried to follow me.
