There is a new beginning in Jesus Christ waiting for you right now! Refuge is a new church in Acworth that is moving forward in the grace of God and taking as many others with us as we can. We are not interested in white-knuckling self-help techniques. We reject the tired and judgmental tones of empty religion. Knowing where all other roads lead, come and blaze a new trail with us as we love and follow Jesus.

Life is better together!! Thank you for joining us yesterday morning as we worshipped and opened our Bibles together!

Pastor Brent reminded us of God’s faithfulness through Genesis 33 and Obadiah. Jacob returned home, purchased land, and stopped to build an altar to the God who kept His promises.

May we pause this week too…to remember His faithfulness and worship the One who carries us through. 🤍

ONE YEAR OF REFUGE!

Today we celebrated God’s faithfulness, grace, and favor this past year!

And how fitting that today we were in Genesis 32, where Jacob wrestled with God and walked away forever changed. He was given a new name and a new story.

That’s the heart of Refuge. Jesus is still changing lives, giving new names, rewriting stories, and offering a fresh start to all who call on Him.

We’re so grateful for what He has done and full of expectation for what’s ahead!!

Such a sweet morning at Refuge!! New families, Communion, and Genesis 32!

Jacob sought to appease Esau for reconciliation, pointing us to Jesus…the One who ultimately atoned for our sin and reconciled us to God.

A night to slow down and be in the presence of the Lord. 🤍

Last night, some of our women gathered for an evening of prayer and worship! Singing together, listening, praying, and making space to simply be with Jesus. There was time for quiet, individual prayer, with journals available to write, reflect, or simply sit with the Lord.

We are grateful for a night set apart to seek Him together!

Good men, good food, and GOOD MORNING! Refuge Men’s breakfast this morning was a great opportunity to gather together with our brothers in Christ!

It was also a reminder to be God’s men, to step out of comfort zones, reach out, and love others well.

We celebrated our Refuge Kids moving up classes this morning! Lots of balloons, cupcakes, and smiles all around! Congratulations to our kiddos, we are so proud and love watching you grow! 💙
