There is a new beginning in Jesus Christ waiting for you right now! Refuge is a new church in Acworth that is moving forward in the grace of God and taking as many others with us as we can. We are not interested in white-knuckling self-help techniques. We reject the tired and judgmental tones of empty religion. Our hope is the beautiful Gospel of Jesus! Knowing where all other roads lead, come and blaze a new trail with us as we love and follow Jesus.

Summer Camp Day 1 & 2 update!!!

We arrived safely in Gatlinburg yesterday and kicked off our ALONE series with Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone) and small groups!!

Today we started the morning with Solus Christus (in Christ Alone), and broke off into groups for free time! ⬇️

🛍️ Shopping at the outlets

🐻 Exploring Gatlinburg

🏘️ Hanging at the cabins

We ended the evening with worship and Sola Gratia (in Grace Alone)! Tomorrow we are headed to DOLLYWOOD!!! Stay tuned!

We are grateful for the reminder by Jim Stephens this morning that God is true to His promises even in times of worry and suffering! HE is faithful!

“We love because He first loved us.” Another Sunday at Refuge Church learning to love others the way Christ loves us! Stephen Baer walked us through 1 John 4:7-21, and we took time for Memorial Day to write notes of encouragement for our very own Adam Yelverton currently serving overseas.

Go out and reflect Christ’s love for us this week!

Graduation Sunday is TOMORROW!!! We will be honoring our 2026 graduates, praying over them, and gifting them a Study Bible. We also have a table set up for our church family to give them encouraging notes or gifts, and a photo booth set up to take photos with the grads and their friends and family! We are so excited to celebrate their accomplishments together! See you tomorrow at 10am!

A sweet Sunday morning filled with worship, communion, good conversations, and supporting our students at their bake sale fundraiser!!

Today’s message from Genesis 23 was a reminder that faith isn’t only for the mountaintops or hardest valleys, it’s built in the ordinary, everyday moments. Even in grief, Abraham kept trusting God’s promises one step at a time, believing God was still working even when he could only see a small piece of the promise in front of him.
