Sometimes the simplest of words speak to the heart that is in darkness
“A light shone into the cell”
Acts 12:7
What tender comfort.

When I am trying to understand where God is or what He is doing, I’ve found it is much more important and comforting when I humbly admit my ignorance to God’s way. I must wait quietly on God for His own light to appear in His own time. I ask for Grace to do this for it is difficult.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10

Henry Ward Beecher once said: “God washes the eyes by tears until they can behold the invisible land where tears shall come no more.”
Suffering sharpens our awareness that this earth is not a permanent home

This Tuesday night is the lesson on Gratitude. Naming our blessings one by one is a way of showing our gratitude to God. It keeps us out of the darkness, out of depression, and eases and removes anxiety when We focus on God’s many wondrous miracles he has performed in our lives. Have you made a list ? Have you thanked your Heavenly Father? Gratitude leads to a healthy attitude.

Psalm 100:4

4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

This Tuesday night is testimony night🙌. come hear one our very own share her testimony tonight. It’s about once living as a hypocrite. Come find out what that truly means and as children of Christ, how we repent and ask God for his guidance and direction so we can guard ourselves the subtle snares of the enemy. Jesus hand is always there to pull us out of those pitfalls. In CR you have a safe place where you can take off the mask and receive true healing from hurts, habits and hang ups, where you can be honest and truthful to God, yourself, and others. Step out of denial and into the hands of God.❤️

Matthew 23: 27, 28 ESV

27 (A)“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like (B)whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's bones and (C)all uncleanness. 28 So you also (D)outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of (E)hypocrisy and lawlessness.

After a really difficult day of painting on a scaffold the creation of the world on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, the master, Michelangelo wrote a sonnet about his pain. The last line in his sonnet was:
I am no painter.
Michelangelo, not a painter??? The next morning he was back on the scaffold again, brushes in his hands and in his teeth. There are times we all feel this sense of discouragement and shame. We're not living up to the person we need to be.
Michelangelo put his hope in his Creator. Not in himself.
“Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6
