Even the faithful grow tired. The Christian life brings seasons when our strength is tested and our own resources are simply not enough. Yet God does not ask us to endure by human strength alone. He teaches us to depend upon His power, remain faithful, and trust Him for the strength to continue.

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” 2 Corinthians 4:7

Our weakness does not prevent God from working through us. It reminds us from where our strength must come. When we reach the limits of what we can do, faith looks to the Lord and discovers that His strength is more than enough to carry us forward.

Incluso los fieles se cansan. La vida cristiana conlleva etapas en las que nuestra fortaleza se pone a prueba y nuestros propios recursos simplemente no bastan. Sin embargo, Dios no nos pide que resistamos apoyándonos únicamente en nuestras fuerzas humanas. Él nos enseña a depender de Su poder, a permanecer fieles y a confiar en que Él nos dará la fortaleza para seguir adelante.

«Pero tenemos este tesoro en vasos de barro, para que la excelencia del poder sea de Dios y no de nosotros». 2 Corintios 4:7

Nuestra debilidad no impide que Dios actúe a través de nosotros; más bien, nos recuerda de dónde debe provenir nuestra fortaleza. Cuando llegamos al límite de nuestras capacidades, la fe pone la mirada en el Señor y descubre que Su fortaleza es más que suficiente para impulsarnos a seguir adelante.

The Christian life was never meant to be lived halfway. Christ calls us to a faith that is genuine, visible, and effective, not merely something we claim but something reflected in how we live.

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” – Galatians 2:20

Spiritual effectiveness begins when we surrender ourselves to Christ and allow His character to shape our daily lives. When Christ lives through us, our faith becomes visible and our lives become useful for His purposes.

La vida cristiana nunca fue concebida para vivirse a medias. Cristo nos llama a una fe genuina, visible y eficaz; no algo que simplemente profesamos, sino algo que se refleja en nuestra manera de vivir.

«Con Cristo estoy juntamente crucificado, y ya no vivo yo, mas vive Cristo en mí». — Gálatas 2:20

La eficacia espiritual comienza cuando nos rendimos a Cristo y permitimos que su carácter moldee nuestra vida cotidiana. Cuando Cristo vive en nosotros, nuestra fe se hace visible y nuestra vida se vuelve útil para sus propósitos.

As we close this series on waiting on God, we are reminded that waiting is not simply a season to endure. God can use the waiting itself to draw us closer, deepen our trust, and prepare us for what He has purposed. What feels like delay may actually be God’s work of preparation and blessing.

“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.” – Isaiah 40:31

Waiting becomes a blessing when it teaches us to depend more completely on God. As we trust His timing and remain faithful in the waiting, we discover that His greatest blessing may not be what we are waiting to receive, but what He is doing within us while we wait.

Al concluir esta serie sobre cómo esperar en Dios, recordamos que la espera no es simplemente una etapa que hay que soportar. Dios puede utilizar la espera misma para acercarnos a Él, profundizar nuestra confianza y prepararnos para aquello que Él ha dispuesto. Lo que parece una demora puede ser, en realidad, la obra de preparación y bendición de Dios.

«Pero los que esperan en el Señor renovarán sus fuerzas; se remontarán con alas como las águilas». — Isaías 40:31

La espera se convierte en una bendición cuando nos enseña a depender más plenamente de Dios. Al confiar en sus tiempos y permanecer fieles durante la espera, descubrimos que su mayor bendición tal vez no sea lo que aguardamos recibir, sino lo que Él está haciendo en nuestro interior mientras esperamos.

Following Christ does not remove us from suffering, but it gives us a reason to endure it with faith. Jesus never promised His followers a life without trouble. He promised His presence, His peace, and the assurance that suffering does not have the final victory.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

Faith does not deny the reality of suffering. It chooses to trust Jesus in the middle of it. Because Christ has overcome the world, we can face hardship with courage, knowing that our circumstances may be difficult, but our Savior remains victorious.

Seguir a Cristo no nos libra del sufrimiento, pero nos da una razón para soportarlo con fe. Jesús nunca prometió a sus seguidores una vida sin dificultades. Él prometió su presencia, su paz y la certeza de que el sufrimiento no tiene la victoria final.

«Les he dicho estas cosas para que en mí tengan paz. En el mundo tendrán aflicción. Pero ¡ánimo! Yo he vencido al mundo». – Juan 16:33

La fe no niega la realidad del sufrimiento; elige confiar en Jesús en medio de él. Puesto que Cristo ha vencido al mundo, podemos afrontar las adversidades con valentía, sabiendo que, aunque nuestras circunstancias sean difíciles, nuestro Salvador permanece victorioso.

Hope is not sustained by favorable circumstances, but by the unchanging character of God. Even in seasons of sorrow and uncertainty, the believer can rest in the certainty that God's mercy, faithfulness, and compassion never fail.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” – Romans 15:13

Biblical hope looks beyond present trials to the faithfulness of God. When our confidence rests in Him, hope remains steadfast, no matter what we face.

La esperanza no se sustenta en circunstancias favorables, sino en el carácter inmutable de Dios. Incluso en tiempos de tristeza e incertidumbre, el creyente puede descansar en la certeza de que la misericordia, la fidelidad y la compasión de Dios nunca fallan.

«Que el Dios de la esperanza los llene de toda alegría y paz al confiar en él, para que rebosen de esperanza por el poder del Espíritu Santo». – Romanos 15:13

La esperanza bíblica mira más allá de las pruebas presentes, hacia la fidelidad de Dios. Cuando nuestra confianza descansa en Él, la esperanza permanece firme, sin importar a qué nos enfrentemos.

Keep praying for the Venezuelan people, but especially for all of the brothers and sisters in the faith that are suffering and sharing the love of God and his word.

Devotional inspired by the key themes and Scriptures from the message “ of the Empty Tomb.”

Day 1: The Reality of the Cross
Scripture: Luke 23:35
Reflection: The cross was not just a religious symbol—it was a cruel instrument of shame, pain, and humiliation. Jesus endured the mockery and suffering that was meant for criminals, though He was blameless.
Application: Spend time today meditating on the suffering Jesus willingly endured for your sake. Let this lead you to a deeper sense of gratitude for His love.
Prayer: Lord, help me not to take Your sacrifice for granted. Grant me a greater understanding of the cost of my redemption, and fill my heart with thankfulness.

May these devotionals draw you nearer to Christ as you remember His cross, celebrate His resurrection, and walk in hope each day!
