God was leading both my wife and I to birth a new church and we had not shared our visions with one another, because we both wanted to be sure it was of God, before stepping out and making it a reality. One day we were talking about dreams we had both had the night before of pastoring a church. As we talked we found that we had both been feeling and having the same basic vision of birthing a new c

hurch for a while. As circumstances began to build up, God lead us to step out on faith and birth the new Mt.Zion C. Church located in Mt.Zion, Georgia on highway 16. Our church actually did not come into the Congregation Holiness Church until October 24, 2010, when we were welcomed in through the Central Georgia district. Our vision is to reach out to the Mt. Zion community and bring whosoever will into the kingdom of God. We currently have about thirty plus members. We all share in the same goal of seeing souls saved and helping the community of Mt.

Don’t forget to come join us tomorrow morning, Sunday, September 6, 2026 for our Sunday school breakfast starting at 9:00 AM. Sunday school starts at 10:15 AM. We have classes for all ages. We look forward to seeing everyone there. Everyone is welcome!!

Please do not forget that we will be holding Sis Mary Jo’s memorial service this Sunday, August 30,2026 following morning church service.

The church will be hosting lunch for the family following the memorial service. For those who would like to help, please bring a finger food item, dessert or drink.

Services for Sis Mary Jo Baxter Weisman will be held at Mount Zion Congregational Holiness church on Sunday,August 30,2026 with Pastor Curtis Holloway officiating and Bro.J.W Daniels will also speak.

Her memorial service will be held immediately following the morning worship service at 11:00.

Her family encourages those who would like attend the morning worship service to do so, seeing that was one of Sis Mary Jo’s request.
