We are 1/4 of the way there! 🎉

Join us as we explore an opportunity to serve with Samaritan's Purse in Boone, North Carolina, helping families continue to recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene.

In September 2024, Hurricane Helene brought catastrophic flooding and destruction to western North Carolina. Many homeowners are still rebuilding their homes and lives. Through this mission trip, volunteers will have the opportunity to provide both practical assistance and Christ-centered encouragement to those affected by the storm.

Trip Dates: August 30 - September 4 (Depart Sunday, August 30, immediately following church and return Friday, September 4)

Location: Boone, North Carolina

What We’ll Do

Volunteers will assist with rebuilding and repairing homes in Watauga County area. No construction experience is necessary. Samaritan‘s Purse staff will provide instruction and guidance for all projects.

Who Can Participate?

•Maximum team size: 10

•Youth ages 14-15 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian

• Youth ages 16-17 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone

• Overnight youth volunteers must have a parent, guardian, or same-gender adult chaperone in their sleeping quarters

Additional Details

• We will travel together to the work site

•Meals and lodging will be provided

•Tools will be provided, though volunteers are welcome to bring their own tool belts, and small hand tools.

More important than the physical work, volunteers will have the opportunity to share the love of Christ through encouragement, prayer and compassionate service to homeowners as they continue to recover from this difficult season.
