📖 HOLY COMMUNION LORD'S DAY RESURRECTION SUNDAY – The Gospel According to the Acts of the Apostles – THE CHURCH IN ACTION (Part 54): Laid in a Tomb, But God Raised Him from the Dead
Source: Acts 13:26–37
This Holy Communion Lord’s Day, we reflected on the very heart of the gospel: Jesus Christ was crucified, laid in a tomb, but God raised Him from the dead.
As Paul proclaimed this message in the synagogue at Pisidian Antioch, he declared that everything God had promised throughout the Scriptures was perfectly fulfilled in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The empty tomb stands as the eternal testimony that God's promises never fail.
Through this passage we were reminded that:
✨ God's plan of salvation was fulfilled perfectly through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ
✨ Even human rejection and unbelief could not prevent God's sovereign purposes from being accomplished
✨ Jesus is the promised Savior whom God raised from the dead, conquering sin and death forever
✨ The resurrection transforms God's people into living witnesses of His power and grace
✨ Jesus alone is the Holy One who did not see corruption, securing eternal life for all who trust in Him
✨ Like David, we are called to faithfully serve God's purpose in our generation while pointing others to the risen Christ
The tomb could not hold Him, and death could not overcome Him. Because Christ lives, we have the sure hope of forgiveness, resurrection, and eternal life.
What is your "But God..." moment?
How is the resurrection of Jesus transforming the way you live and witness to the world today?
📺 If you missed the message, we encourage you to watch the livestream and rejoice in the glorious truth that though Jesus was laid in a tomb, God raised Him from the dead, just as He promised.

📖 The Gospel According to the Acts of the Apostles – THE CHURCH IN ACTION (Part 53): God Has Brought the Savior Jesus, Just as He Promised
Source: Acts 13:16–25
This week in our series, we were reminded that God is always faithful to His promises. From the calling of Israel to the coming of Christ, the story of redemption is the story of a God who never fails to fulfill His Word.
As Paul stood to proclaim the gospel in the synagogue at Pisidian Antioch, he recounted God's mighty acts throughout Israel's history—all pointing to the fulfillment of His greatest promise: the Savior, Jesus Christ.
Through this passage we were reminded that:
✨ God chooses, leads, and preserves His people according to His grace and purpose
✨ God's faithfulness is seen throughout history as He continually fulfills His promises
✨ Earthly leaders and kingdoms will fail, but King Jesus reigns forever in righteousness
✨ Jesus is the promised Savior who came through the line of David exactly as God foretold
✨ John the Baptist faithfully prepared the way by pointing people away from himself and toward Christ
✨ Our lives are called to do the same—lifting up Jesus above ourselves and preparing the way for others to know Him
Throughout every generation, God has remained faithful. The same God who led His people out of Egypt, sustained them in the wilderness, and fulfilled His promise through Jesus Christ is still leading His people today.
Are you trusting in God's promises or in the temporary kingdoms of this world?
How is your life pointing others to the Savior Jesus Christ?
📺 If you missed the message, we encourage you to watch the livestream and be encouraged by the unchanging faithfulness of God, who has brought the Savior Jesus, just as He promised.

📖 The Gospel According to the Acts of the Apostles – THE CHURCH IN ACTION (Part 52): John Left, But They Went On: The Test of Endurance
Source: Acts 13:13–15
This week in our series, we witnessed a powerful lesson on perseverance, faithfulness, and endurance in the Christian life.
As Paul and his companions continued their missionary journey, they faced disappointment, physical hardship, and unexpected challenges. John Mark left and returned to Jerusalem, yet Paul and Barnabas pressed on toward the mission God had given them.
Through this passage we were reminded that:
✨ God grows His people from being followers into leaders who influence others for Christ
✨ Faithfulness is tested when others choose to walk away from the mission
✨ The Lord often calls us to persevere through disappointment, hardship, and uncertainty
✨ Physical weakness does not disqualify us from being used by God
✨ God desires willing servants who remain ready to encourage others and proclaim Christ
Despite difficult travel, physical illness, and the departure of a trusted companion, Paul and Barnabas continued forward. When an opportunity arose to speak a word of encouragement, Paul stood ready to proclaim the truth of God's Word.
Will you remain faithful when others leave?
How is God testing your endurance and readiness to serve Him today?
📺 If you missed the message, we encourage you to watch the livestream and be strengthened by how God uses faithful endurance to accomplish His purposes through His people.

📖 PENTECOST SUNDAY & MEMORIAL/FALLEN HEROES APPRECIATION – The Gospel According to the Acts of the Apostles – THE CHURCH IN ACTION (Part 51): Make Straight the Crooked Paths
Source: Acts 13:4–12
This Pentecost Sunday, we reflected on the power of the Holy Spirit working through the Church to proclaim the truth of God’s Word and make straight what has become crooked.
As Barnabas, Paul, and John Mark were sent out by the Holy Spirit, they faithfully proclaimed the gospel even in the face of opposition, spiritual resistance, and false teaching. Yet through the power of the Holy Spirit, the truth of Christ prevailed and lives were transformed.
Through this passage we were reminded that:
✨ The Holy Spirit sends and empowers believers for God’s mission
✨ God’s Word exposes crooked understanding and calls us back to truth
✨ Opposition to the gospel should be expected, but never feared
✨ Spiritual deception seeks to turn people away from faith in Christ
✨ Godly rebuke, spoken in truth and love, can become a breakthrough for others
✨ The Lord opens spiritual eyes through the power and teaching of His Word
As we also honored Memorial Day and remembered fallen heroes, we reflected with gratitude on those who sacrificed for others, while ultimately remembering Jesus Christ—the true Savior who laid down His life to bring eternal freedom and peace.
What crooked path is the Lord calling you to straighten today?
How is the Holy Spirit using His Word to open your eyes and strengthen your faith?
📺 If you missed the message, we encourage you to watch the livestream and be encouraged by how the Holy Spirit continues to guide the Church in truth and power.

📖 Baptism Sunday: “Baptism: A Circumcision Made Without Hands”
Source: Colossians 2:8–15
This Baptism Sunday, we reflected on the powerful truth that through Jesus Christ, we are given a new covenant sign—not made by human hands, but through the saving work of Christ.
In Colossians 2, the apostle Paul reminds us that baptism is deeply connected to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Through Him, we are made alive, forgiven, and brought into new life.
Through this passage we were reminded that:
✨ Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man—the foundation of the gospel
✨ The world’s philosophies and empty deceit can never replace the truth found in Christ
✨ Baptism marks believers as belonging to God through the new covenant
✨ In Christ, our old sinful flesh is cut away and we are raised into new life
✨ Our salvation rests not on our own works, but on Christ’s finished work on the cross
✨ Even while we were dead in our sins, God made us alive together with Christ
Today, we also rejoice and celebrate the baptisms and covenant promises received by Jason Ventura and his daughter Elena Ventura. We thank God for this beautiful moment as both father and daughter were marked with the sign of God’s covenant grace through baptism. Please continue to keep the Ventura family in prayer as they grow together in faith, rooted in Christ and supported by His Church.
Baptism is a visible sign of God’s grace, pointing us to the victory of Jesus who forgives sin, cancels our debt, and triumphs over every power of darkness.
What does your baptism remind you of today?
How is Christ continuing to raise you into new life through faith in Him?
📺 If you missed the message, we encourage you to watch the livestream and celebrate the beauty of God’s covenant grace through baptism.

📖 The Gospel According to the Acts of the Apostles – THE CHURCH IN ACTION (Part 50): “They Sent Them Off”
Source: Acts 13:1–3
This week in our series, we witnessed a powerful moment in the life of the early Church as the Holy Spirit called and sent Barnabas and Saul for His mission.
In the church at Antioch, believers from different backgrounds were united together through worship, prayer, fasting, and the work of the Holy Spirit. As they faithfully served the Lord, the Spirit spoke and set apart workers for the mission ahead.
Through this passage we were reminded that:
✨ God unites different people and spiritual gifts together to build up His Church
✨ The Holy Spirit often speaks while we are actively worshipping and serving Him
✨ Being set apart by God is preparation for being sent out for His work
✨ Prayer, fasting, and spiritual unity are vital before stepping into God’s calling
✨ The Church is called to encourage, commission, and send workers into God’s mission field
Barnabas and Saul were not sent alone or independently—they were prayerfully commissioned and supported by the body of Christ.
How is the Holy Spirit speaking and calling you today?
What is God setting you apart from—and setting you apart for?
📺 If you missed the message, we encourage you to watch the livestream and be encouraged by how the Holy Spirit continues to call, prepare, and send His people for His work.

📖 The Gospel According to the Acts of the Apostles – THE CHURCH IN ACTION (Part 49): Give God the Glory!
Source: Acts 12:18–25

This week in our series, we saw a sobering contrast between human pride and God’s glory.
King Herod sought glory for himself—exalting his own power, accepting praise meant for God, and living as if he were king over all. But in a moment, he was brought low because he did not give God the glory.
Yet even as earthly power fell, the Word of God continued to increase and multiply.
Through this passage we were reminded that:
✨ Living for our own glory leads to destruction, but living for God’s glory leads to life
✨ God alone is worthy of all praise—our lives and words should reflect that truth
✨ Pride exalts self, but humility points everything back to Jesus
✨ No earthly power can stop the growth of God’s Word
✨ We are called to live as servants of the Word, not kings of our own lives
Herod’s voice was silenced—but God’s Word continued to spread. His kingdom fell—but God’s Kingdom kept growing.
Are you living for your own glory, or giving all glory to God?
Is God’s Word increasing and multiplying through your life?
📺 If you missed the message, we encourage you to watch the livestream and be reminded that God alone deserves all glory—and His Word will never be stopped.

📖 The Gospel According to the Acts of the Apostles – THE CHURCH IN ACTION (Part 48): Out of Your Mind Answered Prayer
Source: Acts 12:12–17

This week in our series, we saw a powerful and almost unbelievable moment—a prayer answered so clearly that the believers struggled to believe it.
After being miraculously freed, Peter went to where the Church was gathered and praying… yet when the answer to their prayers stood at the door, they hesitated, doubted, and even dismissed it.
Through this passage we were reminded that:
✨ God answers prayer—even beyond what we expect or imagine
✨ Sometimes we pray faithfully, yet struggle to believe when the answer comes
✨ Recognizing the voice of the Lord should lead us to respond, not delay
✨ Doubt can cause us to miss what God is doing right in front of us
✨ Testimonies of God’s work are meant to be shared to strengthen His Church
Even as Peter kept knocking, the Church had to move from doubt to amazement—realizing that God had truly answered their prayers.
Are you expecting God to answer your prayers?
When He does, are you ready to recognize and receive it?
📺 If you missed the message, we encourage you to watch the livestream and be encouraged by how God still hears, answers, and moves in response to His people’s prayers.
