The only fear that a disciple should have is that of losing this divine gift, closeness, friendship with God, giving up living according to the Gospel, thereby acquiring moral death, which is the effect of sin.” + Pope Francis

Dear Lord, may my only fear be to lose my relationship with You and to be separated from You forever.

But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be." Matthew 6:19-21

“If your treasure is in wealth, in vanity, in power or in pride, your heart will be chained there, your heart will be a slave to wealth, to vanity, to pride…Jesus speaks to us about freedom of the heart. “One can only have a free heart with the treasures of heaven: love, patience, service to others, worshipping God”. These are the true riches that cannot be stolen.” + Pope Francis

Dear Jesus, grant me the grace to only desire the treasures of heaven and so to obtain freedom of heart.

Más bien acumulen tesoros en el cielo, donde ni la polilla ni el moho los destruyen, ni hay ladrones que perforen las paredes y se los roben; porque donde está tu tesoro, ahí también está tu corazón.” Mateo 6, 19-21

“Si tu tesoro está en la riqueza, en la vanidad, en el poder o en el orgullo, tu corazón estará encadenado allí; tu corazón será esclavo de la riqueza, de la vanidad, del orgullo... Jesús nos habla de la libertad del corazón. «Solo se puede tener un corazón libre con los tesoros del cielo: el amor, la paciencia, el servicio a los demás, la adoración a Dios». Querido Jesús, concédeme la gracia de desear únicamente los tesoros del cielo y así alcanzar la libertad del corazón.
