Testament of Love Church has been established to proclaim the wonderful love of God that is available to everyone! Jesus said, “By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another.” John 13:35

We invite you to join us in worship and connect with other believers who love to fellowship around the Word of God. Pastor Tom's Bio
With a background as a rock musician, Pastor Tom came to know the Lord in 1975 when he was 24 years old. A few years later, he began his ministry by leading praise and worship for several churches on the east coast traveling extensively throughout New England. In addition to serving in churches in music ministry and extensively studying the Bible, he also established and has operated a successful insurance agency for many years. In recent years Pastor Tom has served on the pastoral staffs of two churches in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, which ultimately led to the formation of Testament of Love Church, scheduled to launch on March 6th, 2016. The vision is to establish a New Testament Church where a real Savior is the Head and the love and grace of the Father is proclaimed in the power of the Holy Spirit to individual, families, communities, regions and then the nations. Pastor Tom and his wife, Laurie, have been married for 35 plus years and have lived in the northwest suburbs of Chicago since 1988. They are blessed to have family living nearby. “…after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession…” Ephesians 1:13-14

The word “earnest” above, refers to a down payment. We hear the word, earnest, used in terms of buying a home or a car when the lender asks how much the borrower will put up as a down payment. That is what financial institutions call earnest money.

God sealed us with His Holy Spirit when we were born again. And the scripture above clearly states that the Holy Spirit was simply a down payment, or the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased Possession, which refers to our glorified bodies on the Day of redemption!

This opens up many discussions, and much can be said about this, but, for now, I want to focus on the word, earnest, which means a down payment in terms of our Title above, which is, The Gift that Keeps on Giving! So, let’s inject this into our thinking: A DOWN PAYMENT, by its very nature, is always followed by a continuing stream of payments. Now, God, who is a direct communicator, and not the author of confusion, used this term for a reason. He is telling us that, just like a down payment is followed by a continual flow of additional payments, we are to expect MORE, and MORE, and More, and More, and More, times infinity! And those insights, revelations, promptings, intuitions, downloads of wisdom and instruction and so much more will keep coming and coming until the Day of Redemption! Which means that we must remain in an attitude of expectation.

What are you Expecting? You have the Gift of the Holy Spirit, the gift of God who was given to prepare us, instruct us, and equip and enable us to receive all that God has promised! He is the Gift who Keeps on Giving! Let’s honor His Gift and start expecting so much more than we have… because He’s always got more to give!
