Welcome to Lutheran Church of the Master for the 2nd Sunday after Pentecost! Though Jesus was a devout Jew who practiced his faith, he was criticized for eating with tax collectors and sinners—the religiously nonobservant. Jesus criticizes the self-righteous and reminds us that mercy is to be at the heart of our religious practices. God continues to be made known in those on the margins of society, like Matthew the tax collector and the hemorrhaging woman. As we gather each Lord’s day we receive the healing that makes us well and sends us forth to be signs of God’s mercy for the world.
I hope you have had the opportunity to download the resources for this Easter Season to prepare your at-home worship spaces or for worship in the building. For worship today, I invite you to please download and open the worship guide so you can fully participate, as you, too, are a vital part of today’s liturgy. ~ PD
We’d love you to join us in the celebration of the Spirit this weekend. Our worship service this weekend will be just our Sunday 10am service. There will be no Saturday 5pm service because of Synod Assembly. Donations and offering can be made, as well as this weekend’s worship guide can be found here at the following link:

For our live-streaming options this weekend, our 10am worship service will be livestreamed via YouTube. While available now, the service will go live this Sunday at 10. I hope you can join us!
