Pastor Gary, thank you for your dedication, your servant’s heart, your prayers, and your unwavering commitment to God and His people. Your ministry has touched countless lives, and we are so blessed and grateful to have you as our pastor.

It is with great joy that North Georgia congratulates our Administrative Bishop, Terry Hart, on his appointment to serve on several International Boards, Committees, and Task Forces of the Church of God for the 2026–2028 General Assembly period:

• Spirit Care Commission — Chair
• ETS Board of Directors
• Pentecostal Theological Seminary
• Urban Vision Task Force — North America

These appointments are a wonderful recognition of Bishop Hart’s leadership, wisdom, and many years of faithful service to the Church of God.

North Georgia is honored and blessed to have Bishop Hart representing us as he serves the Church on both the national and international level.

Today, August 19, 2026, the Church of God celebrates its 140th birthday!

From a gathering of eight charter members in the mountains of Tennessee, we have grown to 10 million members in 194 nations and territories.

Then and now, We Are the Church of God!

Today, we honor the life of a faithful and dedicated member of our church family. For 77 years, he faithfully served, worshiped, and invested his life into this church and the people within it. He was a hard-working man whose dedication could be seen in everything he did.

His presence, wisdom, and steady spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The legacy he leaves behind through his family, his work, and his unwavering commitment to his church will continue for generations to come.

Please keep his family and loved ones in your prayers during this difficult time. We are grateful for the many years we were blessed to have him as part of our church family.
