Kiowa Tribe Food Distribution is giving out Non-congregate meal boxes for kids up to 18 years old. First Come First Serve.

The following dates for distribution are:
Dates: 6/1, 6/8, 6/15, 6/22, 6/29, 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27
Time: 9:00-12:00p

At Tuesday night's Town Board meeting, the Board of Trustees voted to accept a contract with Veteran Waste Solutions as Carnegie's primary sanitation provider, effective September 1, 2026.

Veteran Waste Solutions is a veteran-owned Oklahoma company that has served communities across the state since 2014. During our evaluation process, we were impressed by their commitment to reliable service, modern equipment, and customer satisfaction. We also received strong recommendations from several surrounding communities that currently utilize their services, reinforcing our confidence in this partnership.

The Board carefully evaluated our options and believes this partnership will provide dependable, high-quality sanitation services for our community while maintaining stability for our customers.

First and foremost, I want our residents to know that residential sanitation rates for customers inside the Town of Carnegie will not be impacted by this change. However, some commercial and rural customers may see adjustments to their service rates depending on their location and service needs.

As we move closer to the September 1 transition date, additional information will be provided regarding service details and any changes that may affect customers. Thank you for allowing us to continue working to provide the best possible services for the citizens of Carnegie.

Super C Mart Carnegie and the Carnegie Food Pantry starting a snack pack next June 3rd, from 10 a.m. - 11a.m..every WEDNESDAY till August 5th. This is for ages 5-18. We're located at 20 S. Broadway. No forms to fill out. Just a smile.

Thank you to Laura Payne for bringing the Mountain View- Gotebo Public School students: Alumni Brooke Clark and Hailey Jo Payne, were joined by Lyla Clark, Keisha Parrish, Chaysen Bristow, Wyatt Payne, Shayleigh Hazle and Timber Whitley. We truly appreciate the kids and our adult volunteers: Anita Micek, Daniel Micek, Chris Thurman, Norma Powers Thurman , Debora Earp, Reba Patton Jackson, Joyce George Fischer, Regina McCool, Kristy Settles and Stephanie Payne. I hope everyone saw the message that we are now using our Summer Hours (8:30-10:30 a.m.). It gets so hot working outside we need to take care of our volunteers and you. Thankfully, our weather was cooler. Have a great Memorial Weekend.
