A happy and blessed Father's Day to all fathers and fathers-to-be. Saint Joseph, pray for us!

Holy fatherhood isn’t about perfection. It’s about faithfully leading your family toward God. Strong, healthy fatherhood is crucial to a child’s well-being. So too in faith: faithful fathers play an irreplaceable role in their own children’s relationship with God.

St. Joseph is the prime example of fatherhood. Though silent throughout Scripture, Christ’s foster-father exhibited tremendous grace, obedience and fortitude when God entrusted him with the Virgin Mary and Jesus. He trusted God wholeheartedly: from welcoming Mary into his home to fleeing to Egypt to protect the Holy Family from persecution.

He also led a quiet, dutiful life as a carpenter, working hard to provide for Mary and Jesus. Both needed St. Joseph to survive. Today, the Church offers him as a spiritual father to help us be better fathers and men of faith. All we have to do is ask for his intercession.

Timothy Cardinal Dolan celebrates 50 years as a priest and 25 years as a bishop on June 19, 2026.

The Archbishop emeritus was ordained at Holy Infant Church in his home state of Missouri in 1976.

He became an Auxiliary Bishop of Saint Louis in 2001, the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of New York in 2009, and a Cardinal in 2012.

Cardinal Dolan marked the two anniversaries in May with a block party in Midtown Manhattan outside of St. Patrick's Cathedral.

We pray for His Eminence as he celebrates these milestones!

Our Summer BLOOD DRIVE is set for SUNDAY, JUNE 28TH, at the Daniel O'Brien VFW Hall, 32 Gleneida Ave (Rt.52), in Carmel from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Normally at this time of year, the blood supply is at a critical level. But currently, we're at a DANGEROUS LEVEL, with only a two day supply!

As with previous drives, we encourage donors to make an appointment. To make an appointment online, please follow this link to the NY Blood Center Donor Portal: https://donate.nybc.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/332738

Or, to schedule an appointment by phone, please call: 1-800-933-2566.

WE'RE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT FOR YOUR DONATION, YOU'LL RECEIVE A NYBC T-SHIRT JUST IN TIME FOR SUMMER. We will once again also be issuing a coupon from FIDDLER'S GREEN PUB for a pint of tap beverage as thanks for your pint.

We will need VOLUNTEERS throughout the drive but, most importantly, at set-up and break-down. Set-up will start at 8:00 a.m., then break-down and clean-up will start at 3:45 p.m

We hope you can join our members and our friends in the Fraternal Order of Police Driscoll Lodge and local FDNY firefighters in this absolutely critical blood drive.

Donating blood is a safe, simple, and satisfying experience. Your donations help give life to the millions of Americans each year who require blood transfusions during surgery, after an accident, or because they have a disease that requires blood components.

There are many different ways to donate lifesaving blood products, including whole blood, platelet, plasma, and automated red cell donation. The process usually takes about 45-60 minutes.

You may donate if you are at least 17 years old (16 years old with written consent from parent or legal guardian), weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in good health.

Contact Denis Hanrahan at (845) 225-3048, Pat Barry at 845-661-3226, or GK Rick Kreps at (845) 225-6318 for more info, or visit www.nybc.org.

AND PLEASE REMEMBER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!

Thank you all for your life saving past donations!

Today is Memorial Day. Join us in remembering, honoring, and praying for America's fallen military service members.

Memorial Day is the federal holiday wherein the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces are remembered. Formerly known as Decoration Day and originated to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the Civil War, by the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who have died while in the military service.

Please remember to fly the U.S. flag today. On Memorial Day, the flag is displayed at half staff until noon, and at full staff from noon to sunset. Unless the flag is illuminated, it should be lowered at sunset.
