Tekton Ministries - Encounter Christ on a Catholic Pilgrimage

Tekton Ministries - Encounter Christ on a Catholic Pilgrimage Catholic pilgrimage since 1996. We help priests lead their parishes to encounter Christ and return home by a different way.

We seek to embrace the New Evangelization. We do this by helping people experience God in their lives through pilgrimages, promoting our sacred Christian heritage through our Public Relations work for the Franciscan Foundation for the Holy Land and other non-profits, evangelizing through the development of Catholic Media, and spreading our faith through catechesis and Catholic books and resources.

Since 1999, Tekton Ministries has successfully managed the Franciscan Foundation for the Holy Land (FFHL), and is well-positioned to do the same for your organization.

Today the Church remembers St. Teresa of Calcutta.

She rarely traveled for herself—yet she called every soul to a journey: "Do small things with great love." Pilgrimage teaches the same lesson. The holy sites do not ask you to become extraordinary. They ask you to come home and love the people at your own doorstep, extraordinarily well.

That's the test of every pilgrimage: not the photos you bring back, but the love you bring home.

"The experience has changed me in a way that is difficult to explain. I have told my friends and family that taking a pilgrimage is something everyone should do if they want to experience an increase in faith." — Emma P., Leeds, AL

The Magi saw the Christ Child and "returned to their country by a different way." Every true pilgrim knows why. You come home to the same house, the same job, the same pew—but you are not the same.

Today is the Memorial of St. Gregory the Great—pope, shepherd, servant of the servants of God.

In St. Peter's Basilica, his altar still receives pilgrim priests from every corner of the world. One of them told us:
"My favorite moment was offering Mass on the altar of Pope St. Gregory the Great in St. Peter's." — Fr. Sean D., Pawhuska,
OK Father, some graces are waiting for you at a particular altar. Rome keeps them well.

One line in this Sunday's bulletin can change your parish's whole year.
"Our parish is praying about a pilgrimage." That's all it takes to begin. The parishes praying in the Holy Land and Assisi in 2027 are the ones starting the conversation this fall.

You bring the shepherd's heart. Tekton brings everything else—flights, hotels, daily Mass at the holy sites, and a dedicated Pilgrimage Manager on the ground—so you can tend souls, not luggage.

"I have traveled to Italy more than a dozen times, and I've been to more than 20 countries. This pilgrimage was—hands down—the best trip I have ever taken." — Fr. Tyler T., Evansville, IN

What makes a well-traveled priest say that? Not the itinerary alone. A tourist collects places; a pilgrim lets God collect him, one altar at a time.

Father, as your 2027 calendar takes shape, consider what ten days at the holy places could do for you—and for the flock walking beside you.

September is when parish calendars are set. Is a pilgrimage on yours?

The parishes that travel well plan early: announce this fall, form the group through winter, and depart when the time is right. A year from now, your people could be praying at the Holy Sepulchre or climbing Apparition Hill—because of a decision made this month.

You don't need experience leading a group. You need a trusted partner and a willing heart.

Call (317) 574-4191 or visit tektonministries.org/lead-a-group—we would be honored to help you begin.

Today is the Memorial of the Passion of St. John the Baptist.

John spoke the truth to a king and paid for it with his head. The forerunner's whole life—and his death—said one thing: He must increase; I must decrease.

Father, pilgrims still stand at the Jordan where John cried out, and priests who lead them there renew baptismal promises at the water's edge. There are few clearer images of the shepherd's calling: bring your people to Christ, then step aside.

Every pilgrim packs two bags: the one on their back and the one in their heart. The second one is heavier.

Mile by mile, prayer by prayer, she set it down—and walked into Santiago lighter than she had been in years.

Whatever you are carrying, there is a road where you can leave it. And a different way home.

Why do pilgrims call Medjugorje the confessional of the world?

Every evening, the lines form outside St. James Church—dozens of confessionals, priests from every continent, and pilgrims who haven't been to the Sacrament in decades finding themselves in line.

No one can fully explain it. But ask returning pilgrims for their most powerful moment, and again and again they name the same one: 'my confession.'

Our new guide explores what makes Reconciliation in Medjugorje so profound—and how to prepare your heart for it.

Your parishioners are asking about Medjugorje. Here is a pastoral guide for answering them.

With the Vatican's approval of devotion, more of the faithful are asking their priests about Medjugorje—and many are quietly going. The question for a pastor is not whether your people will encounter this place. It is whether they will encounter it with their shepherd.

Our new guide covers the pastoral considerations honestly: the Church's judgment, the fruits, the confession lines, and what leading a group there actually asks of a priest.
