Hear from our friend Jenesis about how CBF and the Elevate classroom, which we partner with, have brought joy and connection into her life:
"Describing my life with Elevate would be very long, but to keep it short, it was truly wonderful. I met Mr. Haden and Ms. Wendy in my 10th-grade year; although I can't remember the events that played out that year, it was the beginning of something that would greatly impact my life. It became essential to me not just because of the many valuable lessons we were taught and having the chance to teach and share those activities with others; they were important to me because they helped me emotionally/mentally. Elevate had become a second family. Dealing with family separation was the biggest challenge during high school, but Elevate filled that hole. The CBF trips were more than just trips to me; they were about being with everyone and seeing everyone at the camp get along like a big family. Elevate made high school much more bearable and enjoyable for me. Looking back, I realize how much Elevate shaped who I am today. The experiences and friendships I gained there are irreplaceable."
