Today we had the pleasure of hearing from our scholarship recipients Ashley Solano and Carlos Cabrera speak about the impact of the funds they received as a result of our Parish generosity. We also said farewell to Orla Cook who is leaving to attend the SOAS School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. We wish her well in college, and offer special thanks to her for serving on the Pastoral Council.

Thank you to all of you who have kindly reached out and expressed your concern for my family in Colombia. I am grateful to share that they are all safe and well.

Sadly, many people have been affected by this devastating earthquake. Please continue to keep the people of Colombia, especially those who have lost their homes or loved ones, in your prayers. 🙏

May God grant them strength, comfort, and hope during this difficult time.

A few days ago, Bishop Ramón Bejarano celebrated Holy Mass with our farmworker community. With hearts full of gratitude, we thank God for the gift of their hard work, sacrifice, and faithful dedication.
May the Lord continue to bless, strengthen, and protect them and their families. Let us keep them always in our prayers. 🙏

FEAST OF OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL

Today, we joyfully celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, our beloved patroness. It was a beautiful day filled with faith, prayer, and gratitude as our parish family came together to honor our Blessed Mother.

A heartfelt thank you to Father Johnathan and Bishop Ramon for presiding over our Mass and for the wonderful, inspiring homily that reminded us how important faith and community is especially in these times.

We are also deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this celebration so special—from our Volunteers, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Choir, Musicians and all who worked behind the scenes—to everyone who joined us in prayer and for the potluck BBQ afterwards. Your generosity and presence made this feast a true celebration of our parish family.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel continues to be a source of hope, comfort, and strength. Through her example of faith and her loving care, she always leads us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ. May we continue to seek her intercession and strive to live lives rooted in faith, love, and service.

FIESTA DE NUESTRA SEÑORA DEL CARMEN

Hoy celebramos con alegría la fiesta de Nuestra Señora del Carmen, nuestra querida patrona. Fue un día hermoso, lleno de fe, oración y gratitud, en el que nuestra familia parroquial se reunió para honrar a la Santísima Madre.

Expresamos nuestro más sincero agradecimiento al Padre Johnathan y al Obispo Ramón por presidir la Santa Misa y por la maravillosa y inspiradora homilía, que nos recordó la importancia de la fe y la comunidad, especialmente en estos tiempos.

También estamos profundamente agradecidos con todos los que ayudaron a hacer de esta celebración algo tan especial: desde nuestros voluntarios, lectores, ministros de la Eucaristía, el coro, los músicos y todos aquellos que trabajaron entre bastidores, hasta todos los que nos acompañaron en la oración y en la barbacoa comunitaria posterior. Su generosidad y presencia hicieron de esta fiesta una verdadera celebración de nuestra familia parroquial.

Nuestra Señora del Carmen sigue siendo una fuente de esperanza, consuelo y fortaleza. A través de su ejemplo de fe y su amoroso cuidado, ella siempre nos guía más cerca de su Hijo, Jesucristo. Que sigamos buscando su intercesión y esforzándonos por vivir vidas arraigadas en la fe, el amor y el servicio.
