Why did God make us? God made us to know, love and serve him in this world, and to be happy with him forever in heaven. In the same way a gasoline engine will not function when fed diesel fuel, our souls do not function when fed with fuel other than Christ. The Law that God gives is not a mere burden, but the loving hand of a Designer who seeks to encourage the flourishing of mankind.

Sin, on the other hand, directly contradicts the goodness of this design. It ensnares and mires the soul in darkness, and leads to disfunction and lack of charity. Through the sacrament of confession, Christ opens to us the fountains of mercy to break the chain of sin and free our souls from captivity and slavery to the devil.

Today, this great sacrament is all too forgotten. As Christians we should aim to make frequent use of this incredible gift and present our souls cleansed of stain at the altar to welcome and receive our King.

We need prayer…Kinda don't wanna do this cause I'm scared it's gonna hurt my feelings but here it goes ...If you classify yourself as my true friend, or a true family member or Who's in, and has a moment?
Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever.
Amen.
PS: It is a request that everyone who reads and believes it, would paste it on their page. It's a World prayer assignment, a couple of minutes for the health of all the sick, weary, and heartbroken.
This World needs this more than ever, hit the like button, say hey and copy this to your status. When I see your name, I'll know who my active friends and family are!!

We cannot save ourselves. Adam and Eve failed in the garden, and the result was original sin and separation from God. Life separated from God is a life filled with meaninglessness, emptiness, and hopelessness.

No matter how hard we try, we cannot give our own lives meaning. We cannot fill the emptiness of our own hearts, and we cannot ground ourselves in an everlasting hope. “You made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you,” wrote St. Augustine. No created thing in this universe can satisfy that longing. This is a necessary truth we must acknowledge. We can’t be saved if we don’t think we need a savior.

As we prepare this Advent, prayerfully reflect on ways you are tempted to “save yourself”. What things threaten to take the place of God in your life? In what ways have you avoided trusting in God alone and sought the peace that only He can give in the world? No matter how hard we try, we cannot save ourselves. That is why we need Jesus.

How far you can praise Mary Mother without it becoming a worship or idolatry? Just don't put her in the place of God. She isn't the creator nor the savior, but she is the way God chose to get to us. He could have come as a grown man, but decided to come as her child, so that's pretty huge. Imagine the comparison between the size of the sun, the moon and you. From God's perspective (the sun), Mary (the moon) is tiny, but from our human perspective, Mary (the moon) is huge. We can't look straight at the sun because it hurts our eyes, but we can look at the moon because she reflects the light from the sun. She has no light on herself, but the one given to her by God.
The saints are humans like us who lived a holy life and now are with God. We pray to them to ask God in our place, since they are much closer.
