Greetings!
May this note find you blessed and kept by the promises of our Masters Word. My hope is that we all take time to reflect on this past year and draw from all of the experiences that we were afforded. Regardless of the nature of them, they are filled with lessons and clues to help us grow and mature. Call on the Lord Jesus and do not lose hope! Life is filled with trying encounters. Some situations we handle with energy and confidence while others we become beat down and at times even discouraged.
It reminds me of the events as they unfolded in Luke 17:11-19. A group of l***rs are facing sickness, disease, isolation, and a grim future due to their circumstances. Jesus is traveling near this village and they start calling out to Him (it says at a distance due to the law towards l***rs). They shouted out in order to be heard, as they did, they got His attention and requested that He have mercy on them. They had heard of the miracles that He had done. Jesus saw them and answered them by observing the Levitical Law and they understood that they had to show themselves to the priest in line with Leviticus 13 and 14. On they went and they were cleansed. It also records that one of them, as he realized He was healed, turned back and with a loud voice glorified God! He fell prostrate at Jesus‘s feet, thanking Him over and over. It’s important to note that he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus asked “Were there not ten cleansed? Where are the nine?” Jesus continues “Was there no one found to return and recognize and give thanks and praise God, except this stranger/alien or outcast?” He responded “Arise, go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole, or your belief in God has restored you to health.
For those that read this you might not consider yourself a l***r. Yet some, for years not just last year, have felt:
*beat down
*sick in your body or in your mind
*diseased
*isolated like an outcast
and the enemy of your soul paints a grim future for you…
but listen!!!
Jesus is coming near - not next year, not next week, not after you get it all together, but now! Yell out to Him, call His name (Jesus) have mercy on me! You now can show yourself to Jesus because after His death and resurrection - He is Our High Priest.
Receive your healing, your deliverance, your reconciliation, and restoration. Just trust and believe. Then don’t be as the nine that never returned to thank and praise God. May your New Year be filled with mercy, grace, and be filled with His presence by the Holy Ghost!
Proverbs 29:18
“When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.”
