EASTER CONCERTS — March 25 & 26
We are pleased to invite stake members to embrace the hope of Easter through a performance of "Lamb of God," a sacred work composed by Rob Gardner and presented by the San Diego Saints Choir. This musical masterpiece will be performed at two locations within San Diego County: in Chula Vista on Saturday, March 25, and in Escondido on Sunday, March 26. The program offers audience members a moving tribute to the life, death and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ, as choir, orchestra, soloists and narrators tell the story of the final days of Jesus Christ's mortal ministry through the eyes of those who loved Him and knew Him best. We hope you will feel the power and joy that comes through the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The event is free and open to the public, so please invite a friend or neighbor. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

One-Day Amateur Radio Technician License Class. Request registration instructions by emailing [email protected] with the Subject line including the class ID of “04-Mar-2023 Mission Gorge”. You will receive an email reply with detailed registration instructions and study materials to review before class. Visit the class website at http://sandiegohamclasses.com for more information and other upcoming classes. Class is free, but the exam may have a small fee. Also, the FCC is now charging a $35 license application fee. After you pass the test, you will receive an email on how to pay.

We are excited once again to be partnering with the San Diego Food Bank in their Drive-Thru Food Collection on Saturday, March 25th from 9:00-10:00am. Drop off locations:
*Del Mar Stake Center
*La Costa building
*Cardiff building (new drop off site)

If you are unable to drop your food donation off on the 25th there will be a bin at each church building beginning March 4th!

With food prices on the rise let’s do all we can to help fill the shelves at the San Diego Food Bank and help those who are in need!

Inviting all the chefs!!

Join the Dutch Oven cook off at the Mormon Battalion Celebration on January 28th in Old Town, San Diego.

We are currently looking for more Dutch Oven Chefs to participate in the cook off and would love to have some participants from Del Mar Stake.

Each entry will be taste tested by a small group of pre selected judges and prizes will be awarded for tastiest concoctions!

The number of participants is limited to 10-15, but we can keep a list for future MB celebrations if it fills up quickly.

The San Diego Temple Christmas lights are back and better than ever. The lights will be turned on beginning November 27th and run through January 1st from 5:00-11:00pm.

What a wonderful way to start the Christmas season with sights and sounds of Christmas. Gather up your family and friends and walk the beautiful San Diego Temple grounds and enjoy more than 130,000 lights and scenes of the nativity.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
BETHLEHEM WALK OF ESCONDIDO

The Escondido and San Marcos Stakes are hosting a wonderful event for all of our friends, neighbors and community.

The event will be nightly from 6:00-9:00pm from December 16-18, 2022. Please sign-up to volunteer and help bring the story of Jesus Christ’s birth to our community.

Volunteers who sign up should be 14-years-old or older; however, all ages are welcome to act alongside their parent.

Costumes will be provided. Light dinner/snacks/drinks will be provided for the volunteers during the event evenings.

The Bethlehem waiting area and after cookies will be inside. The city of Bethlehem will be outside.

Someone will contact you after you sign up to go over roles and responsibilites as well as confirm timing for your position.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Stake Stuffed Animal drive on Saturday. This year our collective efforts with other interfaith community members yielded 4,000 animals for Pastor John's Stuffed Animal Drive. The Ronald McDonald House was thrilled to receive so many. Our collaborative efforts will keep "the house" supplied with stuffed animals for over a year. 🧸❤️

The Islamic Center of San Diego will host an Open Mosque Day which will give LDS members opportunities to meet and interact with their Muslim neighbors, enjoy diverse ethnic cuisine and ask questions about Islam.
