Joseph ends up in prison because he was blamed for something he really did not do. After being there a couple years, the king has a dream which no one can figure out until they bring in Joseph. God tells Joseph what it means. Let’s see how God can take something that was bad and turn it into something good.

The relationship Joseph has with his brothers does not get any better. He is still hated because of the special treatment he is given by his father and the dreams that he has. Hatred can cause people to do very harmful things.

Many years have passed since our last story of Cain killing Abel. God continually watches over His people though they are not always following Him. Eventually there is a man named Jacob who has 12 sons. One son is particularly favored by Jacob. His name is Joseph. Many times dreams have a meaning – there is a reason why God allows us to have them. Many times He speaks to us through our dreams.

Last week we talked about how God created everything and it was GOOD. But sin (disobeying God) is about to enter this perfect world.God gives us choices. He wants us to love and obey Him because we want to – not
because we have to. God will continue to love us but there are things that will happen(consequences) because of the choices we make.God told Adam, “You may eat fruit from any tree in the garden. But you must not eat
the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you do, you will certainlydie.”But Adam does not obey. Let's see what happens in today’s story.
