Happy Resurrection Sunday He is Alive Hallelujah. Let me tell you a Easter story from 17 Easter’s ago. It was Easter weekend 2007. I found myself in a transit prison due to the fact there was a hit put out on my life at the prison they had me in. There is no movement during a holiday so I was stuck at this horrible, loud, demonic, dark, transit prison. I remember the devil hissing at me as he whispered in my ear “You don’t have anyone that loves you not even God, his lies seemed believable after all I was a broken man at the bottom with no hope. I was tormented from Good Friday until Easter. The darkness and chaos that surrounded me was more then I could bear. Easter evening I believed the enemy and decided I couldn’t live anymore, no body would miss me, nobody loved me, nobody cared. I took a razor blade and started cutting my wrist deeper and deeper as blood gushed all over my cell I began cutting my juggler vain over and over. I fell in the floor with blood everywhere my life fading away when in the midst of all that chaos I heard Jesus say to me “Why are you trying to end what I am trying to begin” for the first time in my adult hood I felt peace I stopped running from him that day I surrendered all and after all those 20 something years of darkness I finally felt free. I ask Jesus to forgive me for the person I had become and to teach me how to be more like him. Sometimes you don’t know how much you need Jesus until Jesus is all you got. I know if He can reach down in that dark cold prison cell and save me from death I know he will do the same for you. We love you Jesus
