March 8, 2026 - Welcome to our service. Sound will begin shortly before service begins.

Good afternoon. As we have briefed the last few weeks, we are changing this page to a "Closed Group." This change will be happening shortly. This means that if you want to be a part of this group and watch our services, you will need to ask to join the group. I ask that you please make this request by Friday if you are hoping to join our service virtually this Sunday. If you are not able to do so, you may well find that you will not be able to view the service until the following week because it will be hard to approve membership requests as we prepare for the service.

With conditions being clear here on post currently, we are going forward with in person chapel today. If you have concerns, are not comfortable, or have different conditions where you live, please feel free to join us online instead.

02/21/2026

Good evening. We are watching the weather and will post an update in the morning to clarify if we are meeting in person or going virtual only. If you are not comfortable coming in tomorrow, please join us virtually.

The old system was good, but it could never make us perfect. It was a shadow pointing to the real thing. This Sunday we will look at Hebrews 8, "Our Heavenly High Priest." We'll explore how Jesus' once-for-all sacrifice ushers us into a new and better covenant—one that changes us from the inside out. Discover the freedom that comes from knowing your sins are not just covered, but completely forgiven.

Join us this Sunday as we spend time in Hebrews 7 and the incredible truth of Jesus as our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. Unlike any earthly priest, Jesus is permanent, perfect, and unchanging. He intercedes for us continually, taking our imperfect prayers and presenting them beautifully to the Father. His priesthood is superior in every way, offering us a better covenant and eternal hope. Join us as we reflect on the unmatched greatness of Christ, our Priest-King, and the comfort we find in His never-ending care for us.

Reminder. Tomorrow is our Souperbowl Fellowship meal after chapel. Please feel free to bring your favorite soup or breads. Chapel will supply condiments, drinks, and dessert.

This Sunday we'll explore the Certainty of God's Promise from Hebrews 6. In a world full of uncertainty and storms, we can find security in God's unchanging promises. Just as a ship's anchor holds firm in the roughest seas, Jesus serves as our anchor—trustworthy, secure, and unshakeable. We'll discover how we can move beyond spiritual basics to mature faith and find confidence in God's faithfulness, even when life feels overwhelming. Join us as we learn to rest in the certainty that our God keeps His promises and that Jesus, our High Priest, intercedes for us. We hope to see you there!

What a blessing it was to celebrate Scout Sunday and Four Chaplains Sunday together this morning! 🙏

We are so grateful to the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Brownies, and Scouts who joined us for worship today. Thank you for your service, your participation, and for sharing your time and talents with our faith community. Your presence made this service truly special.

A heartfelt thank you also goes out to our congregation for warmly welcoming and integrating our Scouts into worship. Your openness and fellowship embody the spirit of community we cherish here at Memorial Chapel. Thank you as well for former Scouts who joined us for the group photo…there are many of you among us!

It was an honor to recognize both the dedication of our young Scouts and the selfless sacrifice of the Four Chaplains, whose legacy of courage and unity continues to inspire us all. (Three of the Four Chaplains were Scouts, Scout Leaders, or both!)

Thank you to everyone who made this morning’s service so meaningful!

Who represents you before God? This Scout Sunday & Four Chaplains Sunday, we remember the four chaplains who linked arms as the USS Dorchester sank, having given their life jackets to save others. Their sacrifice was remarkable—but Hebrews 5 points us to an even greater sacrifice: Jesus Christ, our eternal High Priest who didn't just die with us, but for us. Join us for "No Greater Love, No Greater Sacrifice" - Feb 1, 11:00 AM, Carlisle Barracks Chapel.
