FAMILY WORSHIP NIGHT: MOVING FORWARD

Sunday, October 4 at Carlisle UMC (333 S Spring Garden St, Carlisle)

As we celebrate the incredible milestone of paying off the debt on our church building, we want to gather as a church family to pause, give thanks for all God has done, and look with gratitude toward where God is moving us forward.

Families with kids of all ages are invited for an evening of worship, celebration, and gratitude! We'll have songs with motions, an acoustic set led by some of our students, music from our Praise Team, and gratitude prayer stations to help us reflect on God's faithfulness.

5:00–5:30 PM - Dinner
5:30–6:30 PM - Worship
6:30–7:00 PM - Gratitude Prayer Stations

Mark your calendar and plan to join us as we celebrate where God has brought us and look forward to where He is moving us next!

What could happen if we all prayed together?

Beginning September 13, we're launching the 333 Prayer Initiative. This is an invitation for our church family to unite in prayer as we celebrate God's faithfulness and look forward to all He has ahead for us.

Each week, you'll receive a new Celebration Meditation Guide, written by members and friends of CUMC, designed to encourage, inspire, and focus our prayers.

Available in print and online formats
Begins September 13
Find the guides at https://www.carlislepaumc.org/forwardcelebration/

As we move ahead together, let's seek God together. Join us for 333 and be part of what God is doing in and through CUMC.

Keep those Psalms coming!

Check in with Pastor Jake or Pastor Quinton and let them know you're memorizing your verses. Every person counts - and we're keeping track! Our goal: 50 people.
If 50 people check in, we'll have a very special recognition during worship on Sunday, Sept 13.
What happens if we hit 50? Well...let's just say Pastor Jake and Pastor Quinton have agreed to make it worth your while!

ATTENTION CANDY LOVERS!
We're on a mission to collect enough candy to make CUMC's Community Trunk or Treat on October 31 legendary...and we need your help!

The kids are counting on us, the trunks are getting planned, and October 31 will be here before we know it. So next time you're at the store, toss an extra bag (or three) of individually wrapped candy into your cart and bring it to Carlisle UMC (333 S Spring Garden St, Carlisle).

Chocolate? Yes.
M&M's? Absolutely.
Peanut Butter Cups? We won't say no.

Let's fill our trunks, bless our community, and create an afternoon packed with smiles, laughter, and sugar-fueled excitement!

Drop off your candy donations at the church (333 S Spring Garden Street, Carlisle) and help us make this year's Trunk or Treat the sweetest one yet!

For those feeling the weight of mental health challenges, we need hope that God is still good. He promises never to leave us, and he’s sovereign over every minute of our challenges and difficulty. In this book, Aaron Hoover normalizes the relationship between faith and suffering. Aaron is a pastor who has battled anxiety and depression for two decades and is compassionate and empathetic toward the similar experiences of others. Aaron’s writing is a great reminder that you’re not alone, God is with you and He has a plan for your life.

NEW WEEK. NEW MERCIES.

You don't have to have the whole week figured out.

Take the next step. Trust God with the rest.

"His compassions never fail. They are new every morning." ~ Lamentations 3:22-23

Whatever this week brings, you don't have to walk through it alone.

WHO IS YOUR ONE?

Everyone knows someone who could use a little more hope, encouragement, community, or faith.

That's why we're excited about Bring Your One Sunday on August 30 at Carlisle UMC (333 S Spring Garden St, Carlisle)

We're challenging every person in our church family to invite ONE person to worship with them.

ONE FRIEND
ONE NEIGHBOR
ONE COWORKER
ONE FAMILY MEMBER

A simple invitation can change a life.

Start praying today about who God is placing on your heart, then take a step of faith and invite them to join you!
