Today is Good Friday.
It’s the day Jesus was betrayed by a friend, abandoned by His followers, mocked by soldiers, and nailed to a cross for crimes He didn’t commit.

He could have called down angels.

He could have walked away.

Instead, He stayed on that cross and took the punishment we deserved.
Because of His sacrifice, forgiveness is possible.
Because of His death, the tomb would not have the final word.
This Sunday we celebrate that the grave is empty.

When Comfort Becomes the Goal
Mark 8:34–36

We all want life to go smoothly. There’s nothing wrong with wanting peace.

But at some point we have to ask an honest question:

Have I shaped my faith around comfort?

Jesus said,
“If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.”

That’s not harsh. It’s real.

Following Jesus isn’t complicated.
It’s just not always comfortable.

This Sunday we’re talking about what it means to follow Christ when obedience costs something.

If you’ve felt the tension between what’s easy and what’s right, this one will hit home.
