PRAYER SHAWL MEETING
March 14, 2017

The Prayer Shawl Ministry met on March 14, 2017 in the Family Life Center with three members present.

Lois Gates called the meeting to order, read a short devotion and had prayer.

A Bible lesson was given on “kindness” to those present followed by a discussion.

Those who had completed items, blankets, scarves, and hats shared them with the group.

Those present shared ideas for furthering the ministry. The idea was shared to put a summary of the meeting in the church newsletter, on the face book page and ask others to share the information. The group donated 50 prayer cloths to the youth group to use in a project they are doing for the Hope Center. We are checking in to donating blankets to the resource center at school along with hats and possibly to the Hope Center.

We discussed those in the community in need of prayer and made a list of those to be sent gifts.

The group prayed for those in need and asked a blessing over those items that had been made following which they prepared gift bags and cards for those on the list.

We will continue to meet monthly on the second Tuesday at 6 PM in the Family Life Center and would like to invite anyone from the community to come join us.

Something new for our Prayer Shawl Ministry. They are called Pocket Prayers. You can keep them with you at all times. They bring such comfort.

Countryside Blessings just finished embroidering name on blanket to be delivered to our little fighter A***n! May God bless him with healing and may the prayers blessing this blanket bring him comfort, peace and may he feel the love of our group!
