Tomorrow, Sunday, May 24th, is a day on the church calendar which some may tend to overlook the significance of. It is Pentecost Sunday, which comes 50 days after Easter. Why is it significant? Jesus said in John 16:7, “ Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.” NKJV
We read in Acts chapter two about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost and the disciples/apostles were never the same! We need the power of the Holy Spirit working in our lives! Let us always remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:18,”And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit “ NKJV.

With a lot of folks out due to vacations and other things, we are going to start our summer schedule for Wednesday Bible study a couple of weeks early. As we take the months of June and July off for summer break from our mid-week classes, we, beginning this week will be off until August. We will continue our regular Sunday schedule for worship services as normal. We hope you have a great summer with your family and we will look forward to seeing you on Sundays at 10:30 am!

After getting the latest update from the Alabama Weather Network, we should not have any snow or ice issues tonight and tomorrow. Problems with ice seems to be Sunday night and Monday, so we will be having our regular Sunday morning service and will continue to monitor the weather in case there are any changes. We would never want to put anyone in danger on the roads but as of now we should be fine. Look forward to seeing you in worship at 10:30!

Today we baptized a father and his son and daughter. This makes seven we have baptized in the last few weeks. This is not to brag on us as a church but to give all glory to God! We are thankful for each of these who have decided to make Jesus the Lord of their lives and are excited to have them as part of our church family!

From our church Family at Restoration Church, we wish you a very Merry Christmas! Today while we are opening the gifts we have received, let us never forget the greatest gift of all, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! May this day be filled with the love and joy of His birth alive in our hearts!

We are having our candlelight Christmas service Tuesday evening the 23rd at 6pm. We invite everyone to join us for this special evening as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

On this Thanksgiving Day let us remember all of our Heavenly Father’s blessings and the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “ Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” 1 Chronicles 16:34 NKJV.
