Next Sunday, September 13th, Loretta Jent will be our guest in ministry for our Friends and Family Day. She will be ministering in song for the whole service, there will be no preaching. We are excited about having her as our guest for this special day! Service will begin at 10:30 AM, with lunch following.
We invite you to join us for this special time of ministry! We are located at 225 Rubley Road in Carbon Hill.

Due to there being no water at the church this morning from apparent storm damage last night we will not be having church today.

We have two ladders that are missing from the church, whether borrowed or taken. If anyone connected with the church knows their whereabouts, please contact pastor Lloyd. We need them for a work project. Thank you.

This past Sunday we had a Family Day at Clear Creek Park after church. We had the privilege of baptizing two recent new christians, teenagers Maggie and Ryder. We also had two believers who had been baptized in a church baptistery that wanted to renew their faith and be baptized in the lake, Gail and Heather. We thank God for those who want to follow Christ in water baptism!

We are moving our Wednesday evening Bible study to Sunday morning. We will have classes beginning at 10 am and worship will start at 10:45 am. We invite you to come worship with us if you don’t have a home church.

Happy 250th Birthday to the United States of America! Much blood was shed and sacrifices made for the freedom we enjoy! Although we are a very diverse nation in many ways with many areas that we can improve on, we are still the greatest country in the world!
May we never forget the sacrifice our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ made for us when he gave His life and shed His blood so that we could be free from the bo***ge of sin!
So on this 250th Birthday of America, let us be so thankful for being an American and thankful for what Christ has done for all who receive Him as their Lord and Savior!

Tomorrow, Sunday, May 24th, is a day on the church calendar which some may tend to overlook the significance of. It is Pentecost Sunday, which comes 50 days after Easter. Why is it significant? Jesus said in John 16:7, “ Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.” NKJV
We read in Acts chapter two about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost and the disciples/apostles were never the same! We need the power of the Holy Spirit working in our lives! Let us always remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:18,”And do not be drunk with w**e, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit “ NKJV.

With a lot of folks out due to vacations and other things, we are going to start our summer schedule for Wednesday Bible study a couple of weeks early. As we take the months of June and July off for summer break from our mid-week classes, we, beginning this week will be off until August. We will continue our regular Sunday schedule for worship services as normal. We hope you have a great summer with your family and we will look forward to seeing you on Sundays at 10:30 am!
