Reverend Doug Dortch in his last of three Easter homilies spoke about the amazing changes in human history…the Easter story is the best of all of those changes we celebrate…it has “gone viral”. The flowers which bedecked the Chapel building and altar were sponsored by the Berg family along with Kandi Sanger. Even the Pastor’s preaching window was decorated for the occasion. The program, designed by our consultant- Angela Carrion - garnered many compliments. Young 4-year-old, Dallas from near Indianapolis, began the service by ringing the bell. The collection was managed by Marilyn Lewis and a band of basket men. Many first-timers along with long-timers were in attendance. All was managed by the Chapel officers and board led by today’s chair, Don McDonald. We always have the assistance of almost 700 “helpers” who folded up their chairs and leaned them against the buildings and trees for later storage. The “extra seats” will be kept there until next Christmas Eve, when we expect close to 1,000 to share the season’s Chapel service and Carol sing for its 75th anniversary on Captiva. Chapel season continues through Sunday, April 26th.
