Our Clothing Closet and Food Pantry are open Wednesday nights 6-7:30 p.m. Living Waters of Capon Bridge is a non-denominational church and outreach center located at 155 Capon School St in the old elementary school building. We are a registered 501c3 nonprofit and are entirely volunteer-led. Based on the examples set forth in scripture from the early church and the teachings of Jesus Christ, we be
lieve the church is not a building or place, but rather a community of believers called to live out life as disciples of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-31, Ephesians 5:25-30, Romans 16:1-16). Our Clothing Closet offers gently used clothing, shoes, and outerwear for free. Our Food Pantry provides weekly food boxes with items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are no applications or paperwork required to receive food. Both the Clothing Closet and Food Pantry are open Wednesdays at 6 p.m. We meet on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. for praise & worship followed by either a teaching, scripture study, or service project. The 1st Sunday of the month is a teaching Sunday, the 2nd and 3rd Sundays are study Sundays, and the 4th Sunday is service Sunday. Communion is offered the 1st Sunday of every month. What makes us different from other churches? Following the New Testament pattern, there are no positional leaders (e.g. head pastor) at Living Waters of Capon Bridge. Christ is the leader of the Church. Members discern how Christ is leading at particular points in time and then, according to their gifts, take turns being used by Christ to serve during different seasons in the life of the church. In this way, the church gets to experience practically what it means to be one body with many parts.
