Members of United Church of Cape Vincent,

With great sadness, the Staff/Pastor/Parish Relations Committee announces that we have accepted the resignation of our organist, Robin Booth.

We all appreciate her efforts to provide organ music for our church. She has many dear friends among us and she continues to be a valued member of our church. We hope that she will enjoy the extra time with her family and loved ones, a desire that she has often expressed. We all know how precious time is. We hope she will enjoy this very well-deserved change and be uplifted by her Christian community.

Drive-thru Roast Pork Dinner at The United Church of Cape Vincent, this Saturday March 26th at 2:30. Price: $12.00 per Adult. Children 12 and under are by Donation only. Your meal includes: Pork, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Green Beans, Applesauce, Roll, and Dessert.

As we continue to pray for those impacted by the conflict in Ukraine, we also look to offer monetary support. The UCCV Admin council voted this morning to approve a donation of $500 to The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) to support the humanitarian response in Ukraine. There will also be a special collection taken at the UCCV church this coming Sunday (3/13) that will go towards the UMCOR response.

For those who may not know who they are, UMCOR comes alongside those who suffer from natural or human-caused disasters – be it famine, hurricane, war, flood, fire or other events—to alleviate suffering and to be a source of help and hope for those left most vulnerable. They provide relief, response and long-term recovery grants when these events overwhelm a community’s ability to recover on their own. UMCOR also provides technical support and training for partners to address emerging and ongoing issues related to disaster relief, recovery, and long-term health and development. Also, 100% of any donation made goes directly to the mission and donations are not used to cover administration fees.
