Leviticus 23:15-16
From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks. Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath,
Today is Day 44 of the Omer This day focuses on how strength, discipline, and justice are expressed through humility, dignity, and servant-hearted leadership.
Traditional Counting Blessing
(Recited after sunset before counting, if you have not yet counted that evening)
Hebrew (transliteration):
Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu Melech ha’olam,
asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav v’tzivanu al sefirat ha’omer.
English:
“Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us by His commandments and commanded us concerning the counting of the Omer.”
Then count:
“Today is forty-four days, which are six weeks and two days of the Omer.”

Reflection for Day 44
Strength without humility can become harshness.
Humility without strength can become passivity.
Today’s meditation asks:
* Do I use authority to serve or to control?
* Is my discipline producing peace and righteousness?
* Can I stand firm while remaining gentle before God?
A Scripture often connected with this theme is:
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”
— Book of Micah 6:8

A Prayer for Today
Father in Heaven,
teach me to walk in strength that is surrendered to You.
Remove pride, harshness, and self-exaltation from my heart.
Let my words carry truth with mercy, and my actions reflect Your righteousness.
Help me lead, serve, correct, and stand firm with humility and love.
Establish Your kingdom within me as I prepare my heart for Your presence.
In Your holy name, amen.
