The weight of responsibility in this world can be a heavy burden. A few years back I was feeling the weight of it all and God said to me, basically,

"Who made you responsible?" And I got it right then and there.

He followed up by saying, "If you will be obedient, I will be responsible."

A servant, a child is not responsible for the outcome of his obedience.

24 "The same thing goes for a good person who turns his back on an upright life and starts sinning, plunging into the same vile obscenities that the wicked person practices. Will this person live? I don't keep a list of all the things this person did right, like money in the bank he can draw on. Because of his defection, because he accumulates sin, he'll die.

We don't get "rewarded" for right living. We get rewarded because of what Jesus has done for us.
We "experience" rewards, that are already ours, "in" right-living, not "for" it.

Men. We are the "spiritual" head of the household, not the boss of the house, marriage or anything else. God holds us responsible for the spiritual climate, and direction of the family. He holds us responsible for making God- directed choices for the spiritual good of our families. All other decisions are made husband and wife together, though prayer and seeking the Lord and are made in agreement. Nobody is a free agent. The drawing together to seek God's will is what makes the marriage strong. And ladies, the number one question you need to honestly answer before you get into a relationship, let alone a marriage, is this, "Can I see this man as the spiritual head of the household? Can I submit to his "spiritual" leadership? If not, move on and wait on God.
