We’re excited to HOST Girls Mission Camp right here at High Plains Retreat Center this summer!

WHAT IS IT?
A faith-building camp for girls with Biblical teaching, missionary presentations, worship, activities, and fun!

🦅 THANK YOU, ALEXANDER & TROOP 10! 🎨

This past Saturday, Alexander from Troop 10 completed his Eagle Scout project right here at HPRC - and our pool pavilion looks AMAZING!

THE PROJECT:
Alexander and his troop applied a fresh second coat of paint to picnic tables, carpet ball tables, and lifeguard chairs, plus replaced the carpet on the carpet ball tables!

They worked hard to refresh this space, and the results are incredible! This pavilion serves youth groups, families, and campers all summer long.

WHAT IS AN EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT?
This is the final requirement for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout - the highest achievement in Boy Scouts. Alexander planned, organized, and led this entire project to give back to our community. That’s leadership in action! 🙌

🙏 THANK YOU, XCEL ENERGY! 💡

We want our community to know about the incredible support Xcel Energy has given to HPRC!

WHAT THEY DID:
New Texas camp regulations require us to light evacuation paths for camper safety. We purchased lights but needed poles to mount them on.

Xcel Energy:
✅ Donated FOUR utility poles
✅ Came out this week and set all four poles
✅ Went above and beyond and mounted our lights for us!

What could have been a complicated, expensive project became a gift!

This wasn’t required. This wasn’t their job. Xcel CHOSE to invest in our community and our ministry.

These lights allow us to keep serving churches and youth groups this summer while meeting safety requirements.

THANK YOU, XCEL ENERGY! Your team donated materials, time, expertise, and heart. We see you, we appreciate you! 💚⚡
