We are excited to announces that Varsity Church (2320 Fourth Ave Canyon, TX) will now be named Ethnē Church!

How did we get the name? The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) was one of the last things Jesus told His disciples while on earth, and one thing He said was to make all disciples of all nations (verse 19). In Greek this translates to “Panta ta Ethne”, meaning “all the nations” or “all ethnic groups”.

That is the goal with our church, and soon to be coffee shop! Reaching all people, all ethnic groups, and all nations for the glory of Jesus.

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭18‬-‭20‬

After 6 years of renting, today we bought our building. All glory to God who is building His Kingdom in Canyon and has given us this building to reach students from the campus, kids from Canyon and families in this community!
This has been a long time dream in Pastor John Murdoch’s heart. God has heard and answered decades of prayer and fasting for Canyon with the purchase of this building today. Now may
God fill it up.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed and gave to make this possible.

So excited to hear Pastor Ethan Fernandez preach the Word of God this morning at Varsity Church.
