There’s nothing better than seeing a horse and rider loving their new saddle!

Brenda recently received a new Specialized Ultralight for her mare, and it’s already a hit. 💙

She customized her black Ultralight with a royal blue smooth flat seat, starry night edge tooling, engraved rope conchos, stainless steel hardware, and footman’s loops on both the cantle and pommel.

At approximately 9 lbs, the Ultralight combines an incredibly lightweight, close-contact design with our patented 3-D Adjustable Fit System—and Brenda’s custom blue accents made this one uniquely hers.

A special thank you to Specialized Saddles rep Heidi Helly for helping Brenda along the way. We hope you and your mare enjoy many happy miles in your new saddle, Brenda!

Congratulations to Ashley Cheng and Morning on another great ride together!

Ashley and Morning took on the 25-mile Limited Distance ride at Horseshoe Bend Boogie on August 15, finishing 3rd overall and earning some of their best vet scores yet. Even with a few challenges along the way, the pair had a fantastic ride and a great day out on the trail.

Ashley rides in her Specialized Saddles Ultralight, fitted by Specialized Saddles rep David Galentine. We love seeing this team continue to put in the miles together!

Specialized Saddles rider Tammy Rauch recently shared her story with us after completing her first endurance ride in her new Aussie Ultralight.

Tammy ordered a new Aussie Ultralight this year on our Standard tree—and their first endurance ride together was a success!

Tammy and her horse crossed the finish line 8th out of 18 entries in their first endurance ride in the new saddle!

Congratulations, Tammy! We’re so happy to see you both out on the trail, and we can’t wait to see where your Aussie Ultralight takes you next.

So, you know you want a Specialized Saddle… but you’re not quite sure where to begin?

A great first step is our At-Home Fit Kit!

Our Fit Kit allows us to get a clear picture of your horse’s back shape and determine which tree size is the best starting point for your horse. Using a flexible ruler, you’ll take tracings at the wither, middle, and loin and send those measurements back to us for our saddle fitter to review.

But the Fit Kit does more than help us choose the right tree size.

When you order your Specialized Saddle, we use your horse’s tracings to pre-shim your saddle specifically to the measurements you provided. That means your saddle arrives already set up with your horse’s individual shape in mind, giving you a much better starting point for achieving the correct fit.

And because every Specialized Saddle features our 3-D Adjustable Fit System, the fit can continue to be adjusted as your horse changes shape with conditioning, age, season, or workload.

This Throwback Thursday, we’re celebrating longtime endurance rider Kim Myers Moquin and the many miles she’s covered in her Specialized Saddles Ultralight!

Kim has built an impressive AERC career, including back-to-back Top 10 finishes at the Tevis Cup, placing 7th in both 2023 and 2024 aboard Okbas Finale “Finny.” She and Finny also earned an impressive 4th-place finish in the 2023 AERC National Championship 100-mile ride.

Kim is also part of an AERC Decade Team with DJB East Bound N Down — an accomplishment that recognizes horse-and-rider partnerships completing a 50+ mile endurance ride in at least 10 different years.

We’re proud to have the Specialized Saddles Ultralight along for so many of those miles.

Here’s to many more miles ahead, Kim!

🏆 Congratulations to 2026 Canadian National Junior Champion Jayli Mayer!

A huge congratulations to Jayli Mayer of British Columbia on a great performance at the 2026 Canadian Endurance Championships, earning the title of 80 km Junior Champion!

And there’s even more to celebrate — Jayli was also the lucky winner of the draw for the Specialized Saddles Trophy Saddle, a custom Specialized Saddles Ultralight!

Congratulations, Jayli, on your 2026 Canadian National Junior Championship and your new custom Ultralight! We can’t wait to see you putting some miles on it.
