YOU ARE INVITED @ 6:50 am Easter
Second Edit: expect rain

WE WILL BE USING THE MAUSOLEUM.

This Sunday, join us at Cherokee Memorial Park for our Sunrise service. This service has been a staple of this cemetery for almost 40 years.

If attending please follow these guidelines:

1. ALL guests should enter through main entrance near Kroger. PLEASE. Over the years the attendance has increased so doing this allows me to manage parking.
2. If you are able bodied, please drive all the way around the loop as far as the end of the park. Drop off can be arranged to pass through a crowded road, but I request you loop back around and fall into line of cars.
3. If you are planning on parking and visiting a loved one, please drop off anyone that needs assistance and park in line.

These things will immensely help with the flow and keep tempers down on a day a reflection.

See you all Sunday for a 7:00 start time.

Merry Christmas everyone. The office will be closed tomorrow so we all get to be with our families. I, Jeff Gilbert, will be here today until noon and will be back on Saturday to serve the community. Peace of mind is the greatest gift you give this holiday season.

Thank you for your trust for another year. It is truly an honor to serve each of the families here. If there is anything I can do, just let me know.

Jeff

Hello again Cherokee Memorial Park family. It’s going to be wet during the day tomorrow but the afternoon and evening look clear so bring your rain boots.

The tree Is up and last few names are being added today (sorry I missed them over thanksgiving)

Remember. This isn’t just a bonfire to remember those we’ve lost THIS year. If you have a friend, a co worker, or relative that could use a lighthearted “remembrance” for a lost loved one, please come by.

This is an all ages event. One fire will bring warmth and awe and the other will be for s’mores and sitting by.

Still looking for anyone that would like to donate any of the following:
Cookies
Coffee
Juice
S’mores supplies
Glow sticks for kids
Candy canes.

Hello Cherokee Memorial Park family. The park looks amazing. Thank you to each and every one of you that had not only positive things to say but also honest feedback that helps the park and myself improve. While I understand it will not stay perfect, please remember these few things that can help keep this the one of the prettiest parks in Cherokee County.

1. There is nothing more special than seeing people out here caring for the graves. Some daily, while others come once a month or less. But each one carries their own bit of love to their family here, something I’ll never be able to provide. So dont forget about those you love that are here. If you can’t make it, but want me to go FaceTime or check in on something, just let me know privately.

2. Please keep the items you have here tidy. This means placed securely on the bronze marker or within the vase. We are not trying to change anything as far as this goes, so please be respectful and remember that this is a community space and should be treated as such. This means some levels of acceptance hopefully for those around that may be going through a tough time. In these cases, if you think something should be said, l’ll gladly field that request in person at the office.

3. If you elect to place items, please refer back to #1 and respectfully manage the tall grass around those items. This is not because we dont want to do it, but simply because we dont want to break anything

4. Last but not least, come see and see WHY I pride myself here. I’ve been serving the community as Family Service Advisor here since 2019 August. If I’ve served your family, thank YOU for your trust.

At your service,
Jeff Gilbert

To my Cherokee Memorial Park family. This is Jeff. Wanted to just let the community know that your voices have been heard. Recently a post spoke on the condition of the grounds and the w**ds and such. This year has been filled with a few challenges including staffing, extra services, and most obvious, the weather. All of the rain has been a double edged sword.

I shared a recent post with leadership and a company will be coming to make a full sweep of the cemetery for grass and marker w**d eating.

For those of you that have any trinkets or items on the marker, we completely understand and respect the fact that these items help you grieve. However, the care we can provide for you with those items cannot meet our perpetual care promise as we don’t want to break things. The rules themselves say nothing besides the vase as a point of reference.

I would ask that anyone that knows someone that does or has a solar lamp, figurine, banner, coins, pictures, etc kindly remove ASAP until the cemetery cleanup has taken place. After that, we ask for a mutual respect on the items placed there. We will allow what you’d like as long as it is ON the bronze or a metal post on solar (2), but you will have to work with us to maintain the area so nothing is damaged. I am happy to help with these areas with my tools personally even as long as there is effective Jeff Gilbertn.

Please and thank you
Jeff Gilbert

For the week of July 7th, we would like to host a “swap meet” at our park for those of you that have unneeded property or those that may be interested in buying 2nd hand property.

The goal of this is to work WITH the community to help people do the right thing by planning ahead. The goal for me is getting people to preplan any of the other remaining items at a discounted rate with 72 months of 0% financing. Such as vaults, markers, travel protection, and cremation placement items to go with to maximize their purchase if it’s the right concept.

I do emphasize 2nd-ownership, as any deed transfer does not include the provider benefits of new sales through the office. These benefits include child and grandchild protection which guarantees $5000 towards any loss, national transferability, and even a large credit towards your balance if you plan early in life and something happens.

All sellers should report to me with proper paperwork before July 1st to be included in a map drawing with their offer price.
There is a $98 deed transfer fee for each new deeded owner.

So, if you have any questions, are an interested buyer or seller, or want to more more about the options available, please message me here or call me at 770-345-1196 and mention the event to get on the list.

Peace of mind for life’s most difficult days.
Jeff
