Tuesday, October 06, 2026. Good morning sisters.
The subtitle for the 26th chapter of Leviticus is (NASB) is the “Blessings of Obedience.”
Leviticus 26:8-9 (NASB) - 8 Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand; and your enemies will fall before you by the sword. 9 So I will turn toward you and make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will confirm My covenant with you.
Wow, wow, & oh wow, right?
Blessing (Biblical definition): empowered to prosper, succeed & flourish
I don’ know about you but that sure sounds like a harvest I’d like to receive from the Lord. Wouldn’t you too? Of course we would. We all would, right? But did you notice the condition…
Obedience (Biblical definition): CS Lewis Institute notes that biblical obedience is a natural response to God's saving grace. It is not just following strict rules. It is a posture of the heart. It means hearing God’s voice and doing what He commands out of love, trust, and submission to His authority (John 14:15).
And where, might you ask, is God going with this, this morning?
Psalm 126:5-6 - 5 Those who sow in tears, shall reap in joy. 6 He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
You saw it, right? As we continue to sow through obedience, even if or when the tears are flowing, we ‘shall doubtless come again with rejoicing.’
Talk about a blessing… Talk about a harvest…
Just a wonder reminder this morning, of how great God’s love is for His children.
Hmmm… Every seed sown will produce something. What it produces is attached to our obedience… May it always produce God’s blessings for you!

Monday, October 05, 2026. Good morning sisters.
Acts 11:22-24 (NIV) - 22 News of this reached the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. 23 When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. 24 He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.
I like Barnabas. He’s one of my favorites in the Bible. Here’s a little bit about him…
“Barnabas was a Levite from Cyprus. His real name was Joseph, but the apostles nicknamed him Barnabas meaning “son of encouragement,” because he loved to encourage others. Barnabas’ name appears 23 times in Acts, and 5 times in the letters of Paul.
Joseph is a Hebrew name meaning he will add or increase. But because Barnabas was notable for encouraging others, the disciples nicknamed him Barnabas, meaning the son of encouragement. (See Acts 4:36.)”

Over the years, the Lord has brought several people into my life to encourage me & it always amazes me how God knows just the right time, when I really need a pick-me-up, or a little something special to lift my spirit. About that, God said…
God: Yes I send My servants to encourage My children. But many more are needed
Encourage: to inspire with courage, spirit, or hope; to hearten (give heart to)
Yes, I know we’re talking about ‘harvest’ this month, but about that, the Lord said…
God: A harvest of encouragement is needed for My church
Like Barnabas encouraged the church at Antioch, God is asking us to do the same for our brothers & sisters.
God: Encourage one another, stir one another’s faith. Build each other up. Be a vessel of hope.
Church, there’s somebody out there that needs encouraging. Be a vessel of hope.

Sunday, October 04, 2026. Good morning sisters.
When I was looking up scriptures that reveal the results of worship, I found this passage & it immediately tugged at me…
Exodus 23:25-26 (NIV) - 25 Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, 26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.
Just as we understand that when we plant a seed in the ground it will grow & produce a harvest. So, will the blessings of the Lord produce a harvest, for those who love the Lord with all their heart.
Not a long devotion today. Just a reminder that worshipping God is what pleases Him.
Psalm 119:1-2 - 1 Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord. 2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.
Today is Sunday, may our worship be genuine. May our worship be pleasing to the Lord.

Psalm 139:15-16 - 15 My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.
Please take a moment to read the quote in today’s image (from Lance Wallnau)…
Have you ever heard anyone say something like “we’re no surprise to God.” While trying to encourage us with the understanding that even though we make mistakes, God still loves us. Shouldn’t we also understand that, because God is our Creator, that He knows what we’re made of & what our potential is.
Genesis 1:26-28 - 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that [h]moves on the earth.”
Talk about a harvest… This is why God never gives up on us. This is why He sent His Son to restore our righteousness (after man’s fall in the Garden of Eden). This is why God has done everything He has ever done. Because He knows we were created in HIS image & likeness & that we were created to have dominion & to do His will, in the world.

This devotion was originally posted on January 1, 2023. But because God said so & because we’re talking about ‘harvest’ this month – here ya go…

Anyone remember the old television series – “Mission Impossible?” It ran from 1966 – 1973. If not, then maybe you’re familiar with the movies starring Tom Cruise. Iin the series & the movies, the teams were tasked with carrying out missions that were seemingly “impossible.” But, by the end of the show, you found it – it wasn’t (it wasn’t impossible).
Mission: a specific task with which a person or a group is charged
Before you say it or think it, let’s be clear… Yes, you have a mission. Actually, we all do…
Matthew 28:18-20 - 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Mark 16:15 - And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
John 20:21 - And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
On & on I could go with scriptures that talk about our mission, but what God wants us to see here is that, there are no qualifiers in these verses. No specific names, nations, people groups, genders, socio-economic status, education, no prior achievements, or anything else. The only qualifier is that we are believers (all sons & daughters of our most High God). Meaning if Jesus did it for us, we should do it for others
Isaiah 61:1 - “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me
to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
No, we aren’t perfect like Jesus. But, because of Jesus, we are called. And there it is – ‘our mission, should we choose to accept it’ (that was/is the opening line in the Mission Impossible movies & series).
Hmmm…, if we choose to accept it? How can we not, knowing what Jesus had to go through to give us salvation, right? The question’s not if we’ll complete the mission. The question is, will we even try? Jesus said…
Matthew 24:14 - And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
This is what I know… At exactly 3:05 pm yesterday afternoon (10/01/26), when I sat down to write this devotion, there were 8,319,813,498 people on this planet (world population clock). Now, there are more – this is a fact. But here’s an even greater & more important fact… If we don’t accept our mission to share the Gospel – what happens to their eternity?
Harvest (Biblical): In the Bible, harvest represents God's provision and the ultimate gathering of humanity (salvation of souls)
Jesus said He came to seek & save the lost (Luke 19:10). That was His mission. Today, He’s asking - what’s yours?

Luke 10:2 (ESV) - And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.
Harvest (Merriam-Webster): the season for gathering in agricultural crops; the act or process of gathering in a crop; a mature crop (as of grain or fruit); a yield (bountiful harvest); the quantity of a natural product gathered in a single season; an accumulated store or productive result; to gather in (a crop); reap; to win by achievement
Harvest (Biblical): In the Bible, harvest represents God's provision and the ultimate gathering of humanity
Today’s image might be a pretty weird image for a Christian devotion, right? But, have you ever heard the phrase "Round and round she goes, where she stops, nobody knows?" That’s a gambling term. It’s what operators of the Roulette wheel say, when they spin the wheel.
Really, church???!!! Is that what we’re doing? Are we really willing to gamble where the souls of man are concerned? Jesus died on the cross to ensure that all of mankind could have life eternal with Him! And He’s given us the task of making sure that all of mankind hears to Gospel
And I know, I know… right about now, if you’re thinking this might be a tough month. You’re right! God’s already spanking me & that’s where we’ll leave it for today, except to say this…
If the Lord leads you to someone today, to share the Gospel with, do it! Because ya just never know about their tomorrow… You just never know…

Genesis 1:31 (ESV) - And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
Everything (Merriam-Webster): all that exists
Everything that God made was very good…
Very (Merriam-Webster): an adjective that describes something to a high degree; exceedingly; truly; and factually
If ever the devil tries to convince you that it’s not worth it (life), your God wants you to know that you are! You are worth it all!
No, not all of our days are going to be great, but the God that made them, is. And He loves you so much that He was willing to allow His Son to die the most cruel death known to man, just, to save you.
Because of Jesus, your life is worth it because He gave His, to give you yours!
Oh yes, the world is a beautiful place. Yet, as beautiful as it is, it pales to how much greater is the God that created it.

Job 12:7-9 (ESV) - But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this?
If I were to ask each of you to tag a picture of your absolute favorite place on earth (& you are most welcome to do that). Can you imagine all of the beautiful places & things we might see by the end of today?!!!
Beauty: a quality of a person, place, or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or a deep sense of satisfaction to the mind
What’s that old saying “beauty is in the eye of the beholder…” While some might choose to show us a picture of: a sunrise or sunset, a mountain range, golden plains, green pasture, or an ocean, river or stream. And some might show us: a beautiful city skyline, a famous painting or sculpture, a magnificent stag deer in the wild, or even a picture of the Burj Khalifa (tallest building in the world). Others might call their most beautiful place on earth: their home, their family, or maybe even their church. From all of the different perspectives, it would become obvious that beauty truly does lie, in the eye of the beholder…
And here’s where God is going today… When we see all of the beautiful things that each of us see, each & every day, how can we not consider the hand of the Lord who has done it all?
Not a long devotion today, just something that I hope we’ll spend some time pondering & meditating on. Meditate on what you see as you go through your day. Whether it’s seeing the sunshine, feeling a gentle breeze on your face, or even if it rains - understanding that none of it, all of it happens because of the hand of the Lord.

Monday, September 28, 2026. Good morning sisters
Luke 6:38 - Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
This is a very familiar verse in the Bible. But most people think that God’s talking about just money. He is not. Let’s back it up & read the entire passage…
Luke 6:30-38 - 30 Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. 31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. 32 “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. 35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, [h]hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. 37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
Yes, the promise is true, that God wants to give us to give so that He can bless us. But God is asking us to give more than just money. He’s talking about the condition of our heart. He wants us to give love, forgiveness, kindness, thankfulness, be merciful, don’t judge, don’t condemn, etc… And when we do, then God says, those are the things that will be pressed down, shaken together & running over in our lives!
And how many of us couldn’t use a cup full of forgiveness & mercy for all the bonehead things we do, right? But then He goes on to caution us, saying that with the same measure we give these things, that measure is what will be given to us. Uhhhh…., did anyone just say ruh-roh…
For example, it’s easy to say we forgive, but to truly forgive is to do what Jesus did, forgive our sins & do not hold them over anyone’s…
Psalm 103:12 - As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Hebrews 8:12 - For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
And the same is true for forgiveness, mercy, kindness, thankfulness, judgment, condemnation… But, because Jesus did it for us, shouldn’t we want to do it for Him? Just say’n…
Oh, the beauty of the love of God…

Psalm 96:8-9 (MSG) - Bring gifts and celebrate, bow before the beauty of GOD, then to your knees—everyone worship!
Gift: An item given to show affection or celebrate a special occasion like a birthday or holiday
Yeah, that sounds about right… For a world definition, that is…
Gift: A special inborn ability or capacity, such as a gift for music or languages
What about a special inborn ability or capacity for worship? I mean think about… If we are God’s creation & He even breathed life into us. Then doesn’t it kind of stand to reason, that inside of us, there would surely be a desire to unite with our Creator & worship Him?
Psalm 100:2-3 - Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing. Know that the Lord, he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Ephesians 2:10 - For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Surely verses like these are intended to remind us of who our Creator is, & what our purpose is…
And that’s where our gifts come in… As great, as awesome, as powerful, & mighty as our God is, because His love is greater than anything, He won’t force us to love Him. He wants us to choose to. You’ve heard me say it before but it’s worth repeating today so here ya go… It it our choices that prove our love & allegiance (& that’s our gift).
It’s not that God hasn’t given us the inborn ability & capacity, but He’s waiting for us to choose to do so.
Today is Sunday. Today is the Lord’s Day. Hmmm…, don’t we have a gift to give...
