Colossians 3:23-24 (ESV) - Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Thank you America! Thank you to all of the hard working men & women, who helped make our nation great! Well done & may the generations to come remain as determined as our forefathers were, to keep us safe, prosperous, strong, free, & most importantly, ‘one nation under God.’

Wowsa! That’ll preach! That everything about this day is an opportunity from God. How you choose to live it, who you choose to help, what you choose to say & do, & how you choose to ‘labor’ for the Kingdom of God – all you, all your choice.
The word ‘labor’ means “physical or mental work, a group of workers, or the process of giving birth to a baby” (Merriam-Webster).
Hmmm, to give birth to... That’s a powerful statement & especially when spoken about the possibilities we have for today. Philip Standhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield (1694-1773) once said, ‘anything worth doing is worth doing well.’ My, my, my, my, my… Do we get it that today is an opportunity to do just that. In this great big beautiful world where we live, God has chosen us to be His hands, feet, & heart for the world. And if we know anything about God’s hands, feet, & heart, we know that He is always at work – laboring, for the souls of men.
You have today, so don’t miss it! No, we won’t always do it perfectly, but all God needs is a perfectly willing heart. So, be kind, love people, & tell them about Jesus. Tell them that He loves them so much that He gave His life for them. Tell them, THEY ARE are worth it to God!
2026’ It’s a great big beautiful world out there that is filled with people who need Jesus. Kingdom work is how a soul gets to heaven. Kingdom work is worth the work!

Sunday, September 05, 2026. Good morning sisters.
Lamentations 3:25-26 (ESV) - The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
Do you have a place where you like to go, to get alone with the Lord? I do. Actually, I have a couple of different places. And those places are precious to me. Doesn’t today’s picture look like a place where you could just go & sit before the Lord?
Not a long devotion today, just a reminder… As precious as those places are to us, they pale compared to how precious they are to God (when we choose to leave the distractions of the world behind to go & be with Him).
Today is Sunday. Today is the Lord’s Day (Exodus 20:8). Find your place & worship the Lord!

At first glance, it appears there is just one flower in the picture. But the truth it is a picture of layer upon layer upon layers of little flowerets. Just like what God sees you & knows about you – that you are layers upon layers upon layers of His love & beauty – you are His child!
I Peter 3:3-4 (TLB) - 3 Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on jewelry, or beautiful clothes, or hair arrangement. 4 Be beautiful inside, in your hearts, with the lasting charm of a gentle and quiet spirit that is so precious to God.
While the world sees things a lot differently than God, know that God’s eyes are focused on you & how beautiful you are.

According to my math, the total distance covered in just these 4 races is 19,853 miles. Talk about a way to see the world… However, we haven’t yet added the Tour de France - the oldest & most prestigious bike race (which covers approximately 2,000 to 2,200 miles (3,200 to 3,500 kilometers).
Totally the distance from just these 5 races equals 22,053 miles! From the Pole to Pole (North to South) is 24,860 miles. Around the equator is 24,901 miles. Wowsa! Isn’t it crazy that the distance around the world could actually be covered on the seat of a bicycle (given there was a land mass to ride on)!!!
And lol, why do you need to know these crazy little bits of information that you may never remember or think about again? Because God said so & that on THIS DAY, that He wants us (you, me & all of us) to remember (be reminded) that no matter how big the earth is, it is NOT bigger than your God that created it. And there is no distance God wouldn’t travel to reach you with His love!

Thursday, September 03, 2026. Good morning sisters.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NKJV) - He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
I read the first part of this verse & I had a thought. Not only did God make everything beautiful in its time. He also made everything beautiful in its place…
Think about the Northern Lights… It is only during certain times and in certain places where & when you can see them. But…, amazingly, to see them, you always have to look up.
While I don’t know who this is for, that’s a word for at least one of us, if not all of us today. Meaning, when we find ourselves in those very deep and dark places, there is a place we can look to, with the remembrance of our God & how big He is.

Ask me if I understand how the whole ‘Northern Lights’ thing & how it works & my answer is, no. But I do see the evidence of how it works & know that it only works because God deemed it to be so. And if our God is that big & that powerful & that mighty & can cause & control such a beautiful phenomenon on this planet (for all the world to see), that’s a God I’m willing to put my trust in.
Have I seen the Northern Lights? Yes and oh, what a beautiful sight! Have I seen the God that created them? Not yet, not face to face. But one day I will. Until then however, whenever I look up at the beauty of His creation – I am reminded. Reminded of who He is, how great He is & how very much He loves me. And does so, even if/when I’m walking through the darkest of dark places on this earth.

Take a minute to ponder today’s image… Any thoughts?
Isaiah 66:1-2 - Thus says the LORD: “Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made, and all those things exist,” says the LORD. “But on this one will I look: on him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.
Biblical definitions
Poor: Humble, unpretentious. Recognizing a total dependence on God
Contrite: Repentant. Having a deeply crushed, remorseful, and humbled heart due to one's sins
Tremble: To shake or quake. This physical reaction shows deep awe, reverence, or holy fear in the presence of God's supreme power, holiness, and majesty.
Why is the world so beautiful? Because of the God that created it! And if that doesn’t blow you away, think about this… The world couldn’t be anything but beautiful, because beauty & love are who God is (not what He does).
Psalm 27:4 - One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
I John 4:8 - He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Golly gee, think about it… One word at a time, God spoke EVERYTHING into existence, into the image of His glory, beauty, & love.
Isaiah 46:9 - Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.
The God that made our world, has no equal… Wowsa! Before you get started with your most likely over-filled & very busy day, take a minute to look at the world around you & know that the God made it all, just for you – because He loves you!

Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Earth: the planet on which we live that is third in order from the sun
This month we are going to talk about this great big, beautiful place that God created for us to live. This month’s theme is “the beauty of the earth.”
Beauty: a quality of a person, place, or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or a deep sense of satisfaction to the mind
When I prayed about this month’s devotions, the Lord impressed upon me how important reminders are. Check out a few of the definitions I found for just this ne word…
Reminder (Merriam-Webster): to put in mind of something; something (such as a note or notification) designed to prompt or aid the memory
Reminder (Dictionary.com): a person, thing, note, or message that helps you remember something or brings a past event or idea back into your mind
Reminder (Cambridge): something that helps someone remember; a prompt; an object, sight, or experience that makes you think of someone or something from before
While some of us love the mountains & some of us love the prairies & plains, the truth is, we are surrounded every day with the evidence of the great & awesome God, that created this planet (Earth), for us!
Just being honest, I don’t know where all God is going to take us this month, but I do know why. Because someone we need reminders of just how big our God is & just how small we are without Him! And I’m here for this. I’m here for whatever He wants to show me because I know that’s God just showing us (reminding us) of how very, very much He loves us.
So today, just to start us off… How about taking 5 minutes to go outside, look around you & realize that everything you’re seeing is because of Him. And that…, without Him, there is no us!

Once again, this morning we find ourselves at the end of a month long unpacking of a word from God to Miss Sherry. It is quite amazing (and exciting) to me how our Lord can whisper one word to Miss Sherry and give us a whole month's worth of revelation knowledge! The more we know….the more we know to do.
These month long peeling back the layers of the onion, so to speak, of God's word gives His sons and daughters a distinct advantage in this sin laden world. We can be like the eagle who sees his prey from a thousand feet. We can see, and then know, the plans of the enemy….his attack strategies. We then can take flight for the counter attack to de-escalate the circumstances around us or, in some cases, completely thwart his entire mission. Revelation knowledge is our mountain top vantage point. And that kind of knowledge only comes from spending intimate time with the One who penned the words from Genesis to Revelation. When we open The Book we invite His presence into ours. And in His presence is protection, provision, and promise….The Blessing manifested in the lives we live.

Good Morning Sisters!

Let's pray this morning.
Good morning, Father God! We thank you that we have opened our eyes to yet another day to spend in and with Your creation! We stand before You with words of praise and thanksgiving. From the soaring eagle to the working colony of ants; from the grasses of the ground to the tree tops, we stand in awe of Your marvelous works! Hallelujah!!
Father, we lift up our pastors and ministers to you this morning. We pray for their boldness in preaching the Good News to their congregations delivering the message that Your Spirit has spoken to them. We also pray for their strength, their health, their emotional well being, unity and support within the flocks that they shepherd. And we thank you for the Spirit led servant leaders you have placed in our lives today.
Abba, guide us in bringing Home all those who are searching for Truth….to see Jesus in us. Station us where you need us to be. And keep those you have called to intervene through prayer ever mindful of the ground work they lay, the paths they create for every soul to walk in Your direction.
Keep us mindful through the renewing of our minds that You work all things for good to those who love You. We love You! In You alone we find peace within the chaos of this world. Let that be our song of resounding praise.

Good Morning Sisters!

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. John 14:27

My Sunday School teacher finished up a series he's been teaching us on God's peace in us. One of the comments he made Sunday was "Don't let what's wrong around you become what's wrong within you."
That statement hit me right between the eyes and resonated so loudly with me I literally asked him to STOP TALKING until I could get this written down on a piece of paper! I really did that!! My apologies, Pastor Skip!
I did get this written down (and he did continue and actually finish the lesson) and it has been posted where I spend most of my time these days….on my computer! On the surface that statement may seem relatively simple in content, but it is a jam packed, Holy Spirit filled message to the church for such a time as this!
The end time harvest has begun and with that has come an increase of demonic activity. If we have spent any time at all reading our Bibles….we know that. I just came off a week of watching and listening to Christian leaders around the country talk about laws passed this past Tuesday legalizing the use of abortion up to and including birth, the rise and dominance of Islam and Sharia law in some states, government leaders attending mosque services calling for the "killing of infidels." Yes, we need to be keenly aware of what is taking place right here in the United States of America; and, yes, we need to know how dangerously close these things are taking place in proximity to where we each live; however, we also need to be sure that these things currently taking place do not alter within us what God's word has promised, and continues to promise, His church: I will never leave you or forsake you….I give you My peace!
But, Miss Linda, how do I find peace in the middle of this bombardment of evil chaos, you might ask! Well, we do have a part to play in activating and living in that peace.
We are told "be on the alert" for an adversary that prowls around looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).
We are encouraged to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thes. 5:17).
Romans 12:2 tells us "do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."
And, above all, "take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm." (Ephesians 6:13-18).
The lives we live absolutely depend on our active participation in what is going on around us. And God is calling us into active duty to complete this end time harvest! It will require standing firm in our faith and beliefs. But rest assured (in His peace) that "he who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." (Psalm 91:1)
In His shadow (His presence) there truly is no weapon that can form against us that can prosper….no weapon! (Isaiah 54:17)
His peace is in His presence.
