CGgirls CGgirls is a non-profit ministry creating spaces for women to grow and be encouraged in Christ.

We host free qtrly Common Ground: Girls Night w/ a God Focus gatherings and EST.HER: For Such a Time As This events empowering women to walk in God's Purpose. CGgirls meet four times a year in Canton, MI for a night filled with dynamic, live worship, outreach, and an afterparty: a Girl's night with a God focus. Women attend from over 80 different churches in the Metro Detroit area.

A big part of being established in the Kingdom is generational impact. When we talk about generational impact, we don’t limit that to just women in our families. Our influence as women is far reaching and it can affect another woman’s life, regardless of age, in dramatic ways.

Our women’s event EST.HER encourages women who are in Christ to use that influence to establish His Kingdom.

We asked our worship leader speakers, and host to share with us a woman who made an impact on their lives.

“My mom Nina!”

“A woman in my life who has made a big impact in pointing me to Jesus is my momma. She loves people well and she’s an encourager. And even though she’s been a follower of Jesus for sooooo long now, she’s intentional about continuing to grow and learn who God is ♥️”

Meet Mrs Tami Walker, CGgirls founder and Director.

When asked to name a woman who has made an impact on her life she responded:

“Gen Lizyness!”

“I was living my life minding my own business selling travel at AAA. God decided my business was His business and transferred me to a new office. Enter into my world, a Jesus loving; God honoring life insurance salesperson Gen Lizyness.

Gen was super kind, and incredibly patient with this head strong, independent woman. Gen spoke often to me about Jesus. Gen definitely was “the Jesus lady” in the office; and yet I was drawn to her because she showed up with kindness. We would spend many nights after work talking at her desk about life, about this Jesus she knew. She knew Him. And that made me want to know Him too.

Gen is one of many spiritual mothers God has blessed me with, but I honor her today because she was the most instrumental in my life prior to Christ. She spent time, very patient time and opened my eyes to Christ while He opened my heart. Gen encouraged me to be curious and explore the super natural of this Christ. She always told me that He had a plan for my life and that my husband was brushing his teeth and that we just hadn’t found each other yet. Both were accurate. Discipling others will cost us what’s most precious to us: time. I can’t think of a wiser investment. Thank you, Gen! The fruit of my life is part of your vineyard.”

Our night begins with holy worship as we fix our gaze on Jesus and make room for Holy Spirit to speak. You’ll hear from seven women ages 15-60 reminding you through authentic stories, biblical truth, and spirit lead encouragement, that God has uniquely positioned you for this moment in history.

“Norma, my Mom.”

“She has been an example for me of faithfulness to Jesus. She homeschooled me and I have memories of waking up in the morning to find her praying on her knees in the living room. She poured the word into me at an early age and made sure that’s what we were reading first every day. My mom has been an example to me of faithfulness to Jesus above other desires and her sacrificial life is one I aspire to.”

Meet Mary Yeager Mary Yeager, MSPT, CST-T , our empty nester speaker.

When asked to name a woman who has made an impact on her life she responded:

“Nancy Beard Barra”

“I was 28 years old and a brand new mom to my 2week old son. One afternoon I answered a knock at my front door, baby in my arms and without a doubt looking exhausted from navigating this new season of motherhood.

Nancy Barra was at my front door with business cards for a new church - TriCity - that was built and ready to have its first service the following Sunday.

She told me her husband was the pastor and invited me and my family to attend.

At that point in my life - I didn’t know Jesus, didn’t go to church. Nancy didn’t talk about Jesus that day, she didn’t have to . . . she carried Him.

I told my husband, “If we ever decided to attend church one day, I would want to give TriCity a try. There was something about this woman Nancy, she was not like any other Christian I had ever met. She was so kind and authentic. I was quite literally drawn to her.

Two years later we began attending TriCity. During those very formative years as a new Christian, Nancy was a constant encouragement to me. I am forever grateful.”
