It's time for the first Friday Facebook announcements of September!

*Sunday, September 6, 2026*

--We are one week away from Fall Kickoff Sunday on September 13! Until then, please join us this first Sunday in September for worship. In the Gospel this week, Jesus reminds that he is present wherever two or three are gathered (this Scripture is literally written on the wall of the old McKinley room in the back of the sanctuary). The organ meditation will be a setting of a hymn that uses that same Scripture in its text. Pastor Mary Jo will offer a special message entitled Inescapable Demands and Julie Smith and the Sunday School team will lead our young ones through their part of our Sunday journey.

We will not have Communion this Sunday, instead we will partake of the Eucharist as part of Fall Kickoff Sunday on the 13th.

Our readings this Sunday are Psalm 149 and Matthew 18: 15 - 20.

Everyone is always welcome to worship here at Crossroads, and when we take Communion, everyone is always welcome at the Lord's table. So please tell your friends, coworkers or neighbors who may be looking for a church home about us! We worship every week in our sanctuary at 10:00 am.

Pastor Mary Jo will offer a special message entitled Discipleship Fruit and Julie Smith and the Sunday School team will lead our young ones through their part of our Sunday journey. 

Our readings this Sunday are Psalm 105: 1 - 6, 23 - 26, 45b and Matthew 16: 21 - 28.

--We are getting closer and closer to Fall Kickoff Sunday! But until then, join us this fourth Sunday in August for worship! In the Gospel this week, Jesus connects Peter and all of us to the rock of the Kingdom of Heaven. Gino Haynes from Canton For All People will offer a special message and Julie Smith and the Sunday School team will guide our young ones through their part of our worship and understanding. 

Our readings this Sunday are Psalm 124 and Matthew 16: 13 - 20

We are saddened to share the news of the passing of Jan Chase, who was for many years active at Church of the Savior as an Administrative Assistant - and in so many other ways.

Jan was 89 and had been living in Florida for many years.

Everyone at Crossroads shares in mourning her loss, and we offer condolences and love to her family, especially her husband Rex.

Well done, good and faithful servant! Rest in peace.

--Fall Kickoff Sunday will soon be upon us! But in the meantime, join us this third Sunday in August for worship! The Gospel this week reminds us that Jesus serves everyone in need, sometimes even despite his own disciples' wishes. Pastor Don Ackerman will lead worship and offer a special message and Julie Smith and the Sunday School team will lead our young ones through their part of the Sabbath. 

Our readings this Sunday are Psalm 133 and Matthew 15: 21 - 28.

It's time for Friday Facebook announcements!

*Sunday, August 9, 2026*

--We have reached the second Sunday in August - Fall Kickoff Sunday will soon be upon us! In this week's Gospel reading, Jesus calms the stormy waters and tells the Disciples to have faith! Pastor Mary Jo will offer a special message this Sunday entitled When Trust is at the Center and Julie Smith and the Sunday School team will guide our young ones through their celebration of our Sabbath day. 

The Hall of Fame parade is this weekend, and we never know what condition our portion of Cleveland Ave will be in on the Sunday after the parade - whether the bleachers will be removed or not, whether street parking will be restored or not, etc. So you may want to leave yourself some extra time to navigate and park this Sunday morning. The parking garage will be open and free as usual.

The Gospel reading this week presents a perhaps timely parable about the burning of weeds, and Julie Smith and the Sunday School team will lead our youngest congregants through their part of the Sabbath day.
