There's something powerful about a community sitting down together to watch its own story told on screen.

Sunday night we were honored to be part of the special screening of Papertown. We set up the popcorn and water station, and you all filled the rest with something that can't be manufactured: presence. The mill meant livelihoods, identity, and a way of life for so many in this community. Its closing left a mark. But Sunday night was a reminder that what was built here goes deeper than any industry and that Canton and Haywood County keep showing up for each other. Thank you to everyone who came, to the filmmakers, and to our volunteers, And a special thank you to those who were patient with us while we got our popcorn tech issue sorted out! ❤️ This community's story is still being written, and we're glad to be part of it.

Haywood Pathways Center feeds people, helps them find stable housing, and walks alongside them as they break cycles of trauma and make real, life-changing decisions. Every year Roll & Read event brings families together for a FREE, fun-filled day that inspires kids to read and stay active. This year, their expecting 200 kids and their families, which means we need an amazing team of volunteers to help us with our station.
