St. John's Anglican Church

St. John's Anglican Church An Anglican Church in Stark County Ohio. Our church is named after St. Indeed, we learn in 1 John 4:8 that "God is Love." At St.

John the Apostle whose many influences on the New Testament include some of the clearest reflections on the Love of God. John’s we believe and rejoice knowing that Jesus Christ is "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6), that Jesus "and the Father are One" (John 10:30), and that knowing God is impossible apart from loving others (1 John 4:8). We therefore strive to be a community of people

learning to love and serve each other and those outside of our community as God does. (John 13:34; 1 Cor. 8:3; 1 John 2:3-7; 4:7-12). In our logo, we have an image of the Vicit Agnus Noster (Our Victorious Lamb), which reminds us that Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29).

In what sense is the Church "one"?

The Church is one because all its members form the one Body of Christ, having "one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all." The Church is called to embody this unity in all relationships between believers.

Grant, O God, that we may follow the example of your faithful servant Barnabas, who, seeking not his own renown but the well-being of your Church, gave generously of his life and substance for the relief of the poor, and went forth courageously in mission for the spread of the Gospel; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
