Rising Hills,

We want to take a moment to honor Ernie Yarborough, or as we all knew him, Coach.

If you knew Coach, you knew his kindness, his generosity, and his heart to serve. To our kids and students, Coach was so much more than a volunteer. He was their biggest fan and a faithful friend, and he lived out what it looks like to follow Jesus. His legacy isn’t just something we’ll remember. It’s something we’ll see for years to come in the lives of the people he poured into.

From home groups to students to our own staff, Coach left his mark on every corner of our church. His passing is felt deeply across our church, our community, and across the state of Georgia through his years with the GHSA.

We grieve, but not without hope. We rejoice knowing Coach is now with the Savior he served so well. Please join us in praying for Miss Cindy and their family in the days ahead.

Well done, good and faithful servant. We love you, Coach. 🧡

*Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 14 at noon, at Rising Hills Church.

Celebration of Life will immediately follow the funeral service at Veterans Park.

A simple shoebox opens the door for a child to hear the Gospel, often for the very first time. Through Operation Christmas Child, thousands of children every single day come to know Jesus and begin growing in their faith. Every box you pack is part of that story!
