A special thank you to EVERYONE who made our recent Bazaar a huge success. All those that donated time, items, ingredients for the luncheon, made baked goods and candy, attended the bazaar or just stopped in to give us moral support.
The push began when the CREW (Edith Frazer, Mary Christopher, Susan Akins, Marilyn Rodee and Linda Potter) carried items up from the basement. Gwen and Stacie LaPierre didn’t miss a beat when it came to helping customers with selections on Bazaar day. Janet Stitt and Marilyn Rodee skillfully arranged and displayed plants and dried flowers that were hoping to go to forever homes.
Pat Mace and her crew of Barb King, Ellen Grayson, Rita Ostrander, Faye Bartley and Barb Brown worked tirelessly to use the space allotted to skillfully display their wares. There was an amazing assortment of baked goods and candy that no one could walk past, and on bazaar day was managed by Kelcy Larson-Reichhart, Marion, Nico and Rosie Larson.
Behind the scenes Arvilla and Vern Aldous are the “Official Turkey Roasters/De-boners” and they did a great job! Sarah Murphy, Olga Virgil and Jean McGuire were Lean, Mean, Chopping Machines. Sophia Smalling was named the Official Pumpkin Pie Filling Maker which was poured into crusts skillfully fashioned by Jean. Saturday morning found Jean, Christy & Sebastian Dekay and Olga joyfully making/cutting trays and trays of sandwiches.
Orders placed for lunch with Whitney LaShomb were effortlessly filled by Christy and Martha Cole and carried with a smile to hungry customers by Sebastian and Sophia. Susan Akins did a great job of overseeing the flow. Thanks to Micah, Sam and Sully Murphy, Patience, Cameron and Aubrey Boswell who all jumped lend a hand. Revenue from the day was a whopping $2,467.35. Give yourselves a hand!! This couldn’t have happened without EVERY ONE OF YOU. - Beth Hayes
