Good Morning

In the name of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning and is, now and forever.
Amen

In the book of the Beginnings or Genesis Chapters 1 and 2----We read about the origins of everything. We see a God who takes nothing and makes everything. When God said let there be light be light and light appeared it was an amazing thing. I was watching a clip of little Sheldon the spinoff show of big bang theory. And he raised a good question if the sun, moon and etc did not come until the fourth day. Where did this light come from. The rev replied from God. Sheldon replied so God is a phonton. That got me thinking the Greek word for light is where we get our word phonton like in star trek phonton turpedos. In 1 John it tells that God is light. And in Him there is no darkness at all. Therefore as his children and his ambassadors we are called to walk in the light. That beautiful light. In the sacred text light often is a way to reveal something..mostly sin. And when our sin have been revealed, we should repent and confess it to the Son. That is why John writes but if anyone does sin, we have a an advocate, a mediator, a lawyer, a defense attorney Jesus the Christ. Jesus is the light of world; so therefore lets us walk in the light as he is the light.

“My daughter was out looking for a photo of ‘nature’ for her photography class. We went down to the fairgrounds to maybe get a picture of a lake or some ducks.

After taking lots of pictures and on our way back to the car she found a true hidden secret of nature, something my Grandpa showed me when I was little, and I showed my kids, and I am sure they will show their children.

She found a Cottonwood tree with dry twigs underneath. If you break a dry Cottonwood twig at it’s rings, you will find a star inside.

I remember spending hours collecting Cottonwood sticks and breaking them. 💜 I think she found a beautiful picture to represent nature.”

Kept by his mercy and his grace. I'm still here.
It's about the favor of God on your life.you can't earn it, don't really deserve it. Deserve death, hell, and the grave. But God spared not his own Son on the cross one day, on a hill called Calvary. To liberate you and I from the hands of the wicked one. For whereas sin abound, grace abounded all the more. He died on that cross, but early one Sunday he rose with all--not some, half, or a little bit, but all powe in his hands. He said I hold the keys of death and hell in my hands. He defeated death, hell, and the grave to demonstrate of the power that he given as his children. For just as he rose from that grave, we can overcome life's problem with our heads held high, for the simple fact of this and that is this----+ He lives. Somebody missed their shouting que right there.
