Leviticus 6:13 The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.
This text is a probing one. It asks of us, “is there fire upon the altar of thine heart.” “Of what quality is it?” “Is there anything that obscures it?” “Of what intensity level does it burn?” “Is it a flickering flame, smoldering flax, a glowing coal, a roaring inferno, or a nuclear chain reactor?”
It cannot be answered by the fire you once had, or the fire others have, as deep calls out to deep it searches your being for its own echo. Your fire has to answer its question.
Help us Lord!

Due to extreme weather conditions expected tomorrow Sunday services and live stream are canceled. Everyone stay safe.

11/30/2025

Because this is the first significant snowfall of the year, and we need to get reacquainted with driving in these types of conditions, I have decided reluctantly to cancel service this Sunday. I made the drive to church to check on the roads, and for the most part they are in good condition, but I did pass several vehicles off the road, and that helped form my decision. If it hadn't been the first snowfall I probably wouldn't have cancelled, and while I have no issue driving on these roads, I don't want others to be at risk. Stay home, stay safe, stay warm, read the Word. Blessings! - Pastor.

6/29 Sowing To Yourself

Proverbs 27:18 He who tends the fig tree will eat its fruit; And he who cares for his master will be honored.
We should do things that are right, because first of all, they are the right thing to do. But also, right things, produce right results. Taking care of your crops is important if you want to eat. Ever since the garden of Eden we have to work, “by the sweat of our brow.” Sometimes it is more a chore than a pleasure to do things that need doing. Plant in spring, tend the crop in summer, eat in the fall. If you don’t you will be begging in winter.
If you care for Your master (tend to His needs), you will be honored. What needs does God have? “When you do it to the least of these, you do it unto Me.” We live in a very narcissistic age. The widow had to give her last meal to the prophet Elijah, but in doing so she saved herself and her child, and got far more than she ever gave up.
Ministering to others is labor intensive. Putting others first goes against our narcissistic tendencies. Yet all these thing will result in you having more. More peace, more favor, more of the grace of God on your life.
Investing and making an effort for others has a way of actually being self investment. That’s how the kingdom works.

6/28 Mold Me, Make Me, Shape Me
Proverbs 27:22 Though you pound a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with crushed grain, Yet his folly will not depart from him.
Fools are not teachable, they have a hard time listening to the advice and counsel of others, and in fact rarely seek it. The bible speaks about being, “tender hearted before the Lord.” This means we yield quickly to His counsel, He has no need to yell, we follow a still small voice it that is the way He is speaking to us.
The proud man/woman doesn’t listen to others, but plows on ahead, often to ruin and or trouble. A humble man yields to and accepts the counsel of his wife. A humble youth submits to the guidance of their parents.
One of Soloman’s greatest mistakes was the day he refused to listen to counselors older and wiser than he, but listened to his youthful friends, and they gave him very foolish advice. That folly split the Jewish nation in two. Solomon learned his lesson the hard way, but the consequences followed his nation for almost 200 years. Plowing on in stubborn obstinacy will yield a crop of heartache and trouble.
God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Prayer Point: Lord, help me to have a teachable spirit. Help me let others speak into my life keep me from prideful unyielding decisions.
