Temple Beth David of The South Shore

Temple Beth David of The South Shore A Reform Jewish synagogue in Canton, MA In 1961, a charter was recorded and Temple Beth David of the South Shore was born.

In 1959, a small group of Jewish families primarily from Randolph met together and decided that they wanted a place to pray that was warm and heimish, a place with liberal values but with a sense of Jewish tradition that would allow their children to grow up knowing who they are as Jews but not feeling the restrictions that a more observant Jewish lifestyle required. They had a vision for a traditional Reform synagogue that would be the perfect place for their families to grow, pray, and learn.

Join us for a special TBD Shabbat service on Friday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m. to celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility.

TDOV is celebrated worldwide to raise awareness about trans people in a day rooted in joy, rather than focused on narratives of violence or suffering that are often portrayed in media about trans people. Our service will include beautiful music as well as a speaker, former TBD student Rabbi Simcha Halpert-Hanson. Open to the public and available by Zoom.

Temple Beth David is located at 1060 Randolph St., Canton, MA

All are welcome.
