No one can take the pain away from those who have experienced a pregnancy or infant loss. In honor of the little ones taken too soon, Aultman holds an annual memorial service for those who have experienced a loss.

This year's Remembrance Ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20 at Forest Hill Cemetery, located at 4414 Cleveland Ave. NW in Canton. All are welcome to attend. For more information, please call 330-363-4250 or email [email protected].

WATER UPDATE!!!! We have had three companies out to access the water situation. It is not as easy as one might think. The system that was installed back in the 1920’s consisted of galvanized pipes that snaked and looped all throughout the park, under the interior cemetery roads. Currently there is no map of where these pipes are. There is only one access point with the water coming into the cemetery, that is close to 47th street. Over the years sediment and debris have eroded and minimalized the amount of water that actually flows through the pipes and the cemetery. With the leaks throughout, any water pressure that we had is minimal at best. The first two companies wanted nothing to do with the project. I met with a third company on July 17, 2026. He is hopeful that his engineers and team can come up with a solution, but again it will take some time to even put a plan in place.

I followed up with him yesterday, and he hopes to have some solid information very soon. The challenge is finding a contractor that is willing to research and come up with a viable solution. The easy route would be to just have one or two water stations in the park and shut down the majority of the dated system. We are trying very hard to avoid that.

WATER LEAK UPDATE
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the water issues at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Forest Hill Cemetery was founded in 1922, and much of the original irrigation water system was installed at that time. Over the years, multiple leaks have developed beneath the interior cemetery road, creating unique challenges in both locating and repairing them.

We have been working with several contractors to determine the best long-term solution for repairing and upgrading this aging water system. In the meantime, the irrigation water is typically turned on during the day time hours and shut off each evening to help manage water loss.

Water is always available at the cemetery office for visitors who need it.

We sincerely appreciate your continued patience and support as we work to correct the situation and improve the cemetery's irrigation system.
